Interesting, India with Bangladesh & Zimbabwe in one group.

Yes...that was a surprise....how many teams proceed? Bangladesh might just beat India and proceed :d

Same format just different groups? Well Pakistan have an easy group - england and an associate nation.

Why don't they do the T20 every year like CHampions Trophy? It only lasts a couple of weeks anyway.

T20 WC was fun. But my personal opinion was that it was too much cricket in the end. If Pakistan had not reached the finals, I would not have even bothered watching it...

wow Australia,Sri lanka, Windies in one group that the hardest one of all.

Yeah, for sure.
We have a pretty easy group. But if we lose to Zimbabwe or Bangladesh i'm going to freak!
I think Aussies would have mastered T20 by then, or crash down the standings to number 12 in the associate nations list. (:D) Ireland to replace, ftw!
And of course, India the Great would be Numero Uno :D

The Champions Trophy is only held every two years too. It was in England in 2004, India in 2006 and it will be in Pakistan in 2008.

Neither does that.

I don't understand the logic behind putting Zimbabwe and Bangladesh with India.

The group fixings were based on performances in the Twenty20 World Cup 2007.

It's actually completely logical based on their performances in the World Twenty20. If you notice the parentheses, these refer to the seedings. If you notice, the seedings go down until they reach the bottom and then they go up.

It is quite a surprise. Why put India with Zimbabwe and Bangladesh? Why not a more challenging group? Strange decision.
