So winning toss and field first was terrible idea? Let alone the Ashwin inclusion debate for a moment but I'm sure the AUS would've ended with around 315-5 if our seamers had shown a bit of consistency...Umesh had a forgetful day. He has pace and beautiful outswing.. but he is extremely inconsistent with line. When you have Umesh in the ranks and you're in ENG, I had no doubt in fielding Ashwin in. With him... I'm sure the score would've something close as mentioned

I literally don't think bowl first was bad idea.

With all said and done, tomorrow morning If we bag these 2 and restrict AUS within 420ish... We have batting to counter that. I don't think Lyon will pose any threat with spin until 4th day

Happy that I didn't watch a single delivery yesterday. Apart from it being a failed concept, I still feel India have messed up yet another final.

There's no coming back unless there's rain/ a de ja vu of 36 all out.

India have proven to the world they can't force bowling on non spinning tracks. A look at the scoreboard tells you all.

The teams of the 1990s were termed as 'Tigers at home, pussycats abroad'. The current team is perhaps 'Pussycats on turning home tracks, Forget abroad'

Missing Ash na badly, especially with the way head is batting.
Honestly, he wouldn't have made a difference. Jadeja has seemed to the better of the two on turning tracks. Then again, it this was a turning wicket, then Ash would have been missed.

Going forth the formula for any team( vying to win an ICC event) is damn simple. Get India in the finals, somehow!:grinning:

Still not a lost cause. If India can manage to somehow keep Australia under 420-430, they can still make a match out of it. It's easier said than done though as Smith looks set for a big one ans Head on the on the other end looking positive.

Last 10 over 65/1 6.5 runs per over says story how pathetic indian bowlers are raised

Smith looking uttrely ominous ahead of the Ashes. Its basically get Smith out or dont have a chance.

What a cheeky way not to review despite signalling.. Way to go Vada pao :p

What's vada pao btw

Only way ahead for India is to concede a lead of 50 at worst, and bowl them out cheaply in the third innings
