World Test Team

Amla is king now.

Gautam Gambhir
Shane Watson (haha, imagine THAT combination! :p)
Hamish Amla
Sachin Tendulkar
Michael Clarke
Kumar Sangakkara
MS Dhoni (wk)
Mitchell Johnson
Dale Steyn
Graeme Swann
Zaheer Khan

Thoughts? Little uncertain about Sanga-Dhoni in the lower middle order.

Haha Hamish Amla

Not sure on Zak, and Dhoni in at 7? Hmm. For me I'd have to choose one of Sanga/Dhoni

I would have Sehwag instead of Gambhir and make Sanga wicketkeeper and replace Dhoni with someone else.

Virender Sehwag
Shane Watson
Hashim Amla
Sachin Tendulkar
Kevin Pietersen
AB De Villiers
Brad Haddin (wk)
Mitchell Johnson
Graeme Swann

Shantakumaran Sreeshant :p

I don't know who to make captain, any suggestions?

When was the last time you said anything w/o name calling? This is your way off 'discussion'? People like you don't belong. Why the hell wouldn't I care? And what's this has to do with caring any ways. You still couldn't ans my questions and back up your statements, all you do is make comments. And when you cant back it up, you just lose it. Some discusser you are.

Also adding to all that, when you can't find anything to say, you can give -rep to people.

"grow up dude" ya you could really use your own advice. And the advice that i just left for your!

Nice.

Just made a fool of yourself in front of everybody, because it wasn't me that made that rep, ask an admin if you want.

Truth hurts doesn't it? You are an arrogant prick in these forums and I am not the only one that noticed it.

Yeah maybe you should chill out a little. There's no need for this aggression.

Num
Watson at 7? Sangakkara keeping? Not very current selections...

Well, there's plenty of openers to choose from and I would want to give the captain the freedom to bowl Watson without having to worry too much about Watson's workload and being able to bowl Watson near the end of the innings (when the tail is putting up resistance) and not having to worry about him opening the innings. I'm sure Watson would do just as well at No.7 at this point in his career. Sangakkara hasn't kept in a while, but he's a class batsman and even though his average drops when he is designated wicketkeeper, his record is still very competitive.

Based on the last 12 months:

Virender Sehwag - 934 runs at 93.40 with a strike rate of 97.29
Tamim Iqbal - 924 runs at 57.75
Shane Watson - 926 runs at 54.47
Hashim Amla - 801 runs at 100.12
Michael Clarke - 1171 runs at 65.05
MS Dhoni + - 466 runs at 93.20
Daniel Vettori * - 742 runs at 49.46 + 32 wickets at 36.75
Mitchell Johnson - 61 wickets at 28.08
Graeme Swanneh - 51 wickets at 33.92
Dale Steyn - 26 wickets at 22.30
Dougeh Bollinger - 37 wickets at 20.86

Hasn't been a great year for bowling figures TBH. Been some fantastic batting performances, but there hasn't been enough Test cricket to allow many bowlers to stand out. This side has depth in batting and depth in bowling though, so I'm sure they'd perform very well.

Only 2 10-wicket hauls I think? It is pretty poor. Also surprised how high Swann's average is, I thought it would be lower than that.

mate steyn in place of pathan..looks good..
And M.Johnson in place of flintoff looks nice..
