World Test Team

If you mean that I am choosing players based on their career performance rather than their performance in 2010, then what is the problem with that?

Besides my 1st point that many other batsmen haven't yet had the opportunity to bat in 2010, there is much more to a batsmen than his performance in the last 12 months.

It's not like Tamim has set the world on fire anyway, what has he done? Scored just 1 century and that too against weak bowling on a flat pitch.

I'm not saying he's the best but he's done a really good job while playing for Ban, for me definitetly one of their top players. To me he deserves a look in.

If he ends up like Ashraful then you can hold this against me later

Well it's not that I have a grudge against him, in fact I really like him, but just think it was a premature call to name him in a Test XI. Hope he makes a century though and proves me wrong.

^^^ Why Ben Hilfenhaus???
He hasn't even played a test this year, and last year his bowling average was over 30...

Sure, Hilfenhaus hasn't played much recently, but he's a genuine swing bowler that also has the ability to perform when the condition aren't necessarily conducive to swing. The trouble modern day batsmen have with bowlers who can move the ball significantly in the air is understated in my opinion. In a period of relatively flat pitches, being able to beat the batsman in the air is a great skill to have. With Hilfenhaus, you can be assured that he'll swing the new ball as well. He also complements Steyn (strike bowler + raw pace + swing) and Johnson (strike bowler + raw pace + left arm). Stats aren't everything either, take a look at the quality of the wickets he has taken.

Proved wrong. so keep your dumb thoughts to yourself

Why the hell do you care? Maybe you should keep your stupid comments to yourself, troll. Last time I noticed this is a place where we share discussions about cricket and not a place for arrogant pricks like yourself.

Yeah maybe you should chill out a little. There's no need for this aggression.

Num
Watson at 7? Sangakkara keeping? Not very current selections...

When was the last time you said anything w/o name calling? This is your way off 'discussion'? People like you don't belong. Why the hell wouldn't I care? And what's this has to do with caring any ways. You still couldn't ans my questions and back up your statements, all you do is make comments. And when you cant back it up, you just lose it. Some discusser you are.
