Just because you've seen it doesn't mean it's not news for everyone else...

For example, posting results at 4am. How many people would be up at that time?

I see your point, but in fairness when an event has happened you don't go onto that thread before you've watched it...you avoid the thread (at least I would) because I'd understand people putting the results there as they'd already happened. If you haven't watched...avoid.

If someone added the results of, say, The Apprentice to the thread "The Apprentice" at 9:05pm and they happened at 9:00pm, people who hadn't watched would avoid the thread. Whereas, if I'd made a thread "Kane wins WWE Championship" "Batista loses in Title Bout" or "Lee Wins Apprentice" then fair enough, I'd take your point because it could be seen without opening the thread.
