Yeah the Old times were great!!
IF they remove the PG-13 rating then I might enjoy watching again but right now its a Kids show:. What is Vince thinking.
ECW was amazing with Superstars like RVD, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman etc.. but it just SUCKS!!.. Vince just killed it

Annoyingdevil, plenty of people still watch movies and they are obviously fake, so surely that gives the people the right to watch this. I'm pretty sure everybody knows that it is fake right now, after about a hundred thousand people have said it, but it's just a form of entertainment - some people might want to watch a comedy show, some might want to watch wrestling. I haven't watched wrestling myself for many years, but using the "fake" comment is also getting really old.

So true, when I was about 12 or so I was totally obsessed and people used to give me ████ saying it was fake. Well, no ████, I knew it was scripted but it was entertaining and they put their bodies and lives on the line for it. Also, as Blake said, I just asked them why they watch movies, or a TV series? It is exactly the same thing.

It won't be very good though, I read a quality post somewhere that you could bring all the talent back, and wrestling would be better, but untill it loses the PG rating, it will never be great.

If that is a shot at Christian, that makes me unhappy. He is one of the WWE's best talents, because he is the all round package of wrestling skill, charisma and marketability. Remember, when he made his return at the beginning of the year? ECW was a shitfest, headlined by the likes of Mark Henry (who has improved with MVP) and Mike Knox (WTF?). Now, we have an interesting title picture with Christian having good PPV-quality matches with Shelton, Regal and Swagger (earlier this year).

Besides, you point out 'heavyweight'. 1) the ECW Championship is never referred to as that. 2) some of the best title reigns have been by non-heavyweights. See: Chris Jericho, HBK, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, RVD, CM Punk, even Jeff Hardy. And in my opinion, these guys > the likes of The Great Khali, Kane and Mark Henry

A definition of sport:

'an active diversion requiring physical exertion and competition'

Wow! Does wrestling 'require physical exerton'? Well, yeah. Is it a competition? Well, yeah. And I know you would say wrestling isn't a competition because they know who is going to win. But, it is still two men competing against each other to outdo the other for the reason of furthering their career. When someone looks good in a match, the writers take notice and they act on it. Conclusion: wrestling is a sport.
