I can't believe I stayed up to watch that last night. Cena showing what he could do on the mic, albeit he still couldn't hold a candle to what The Rock did last week. Which begs the question why we don't see more of this Cena more often rather than the goofy, never-give-up, child pandering Cena we've seen week-in, week-out for the past 5-6 years.

Taker and HHH's stupid mime act, that didn't make any sense considering Kane had put Taker out of action and Sheamus had put HHH out of action and yet we're supposed to just forget that happened a few months ago...Is Vince Russo behind this crap?!

What's funny was Sheamus came out after the HHH/Taker mime, staredown thingy and jobbed to Mark f'in Henry in a clean loss, for christ's sake.

Then the 'E rehashed that title rivals win the tag-team titles BS that we've seen so many times over the years, with Cena/HBK, Cena/Batista, Angle/Benoit etc.

What's worse is they won it and then the Corre invoked their rematch clause and inevitably won it in the rematch (albeit with the help of the Miz's inevitable turn). Another pointless title change that has devalued the tag-team titles to mere props. The tag-team belts that Jericho and Big Show spent some careful time building back up in terms of prestige not too long ago. All their hard-work has gone down the shitter.

Perhaps when CM Punk took his revenge on Orton for the kick in the head after 2 long, very long years already tell us a lot about that.

Typical WWE selective memory loss booking.

YouTube - Stone Cold Throws I.C. Title Off A Bridge

Anyone remember in 1997 when The Rock and Stone Cold were feuding over the Intercontinental Title and Stone Cold threw it over that bridge?

Dailymotion - 1999.04.12 Raw Austin confronts The Rock at the bridge - a Sports & Extreme video

Almost a year to the day later in 1998, Rock went to that same bridge with Stone Cold's smoking skull title belt and threw it over the bridge along with Austin himself.

That's how you do it.

That's what happens to you if you put The Game on the shelf for months!

He just Pedigree'd Sheamus through the announcer table.

Cole vs Jerry Lawler at Wrestlemania is going to be a fun match but I can't help thinking that Cole would win it since he has Jack Swagger on his side. :facepalm

Also, this Cena-Rock feud is getting more interesting as The Rock hit back this week. I seriously hope The Rock can just give Cena some whacking before Wrestlemania ends. But then again, would WWE screw their favorite son like that?

WWE has come alive all of a sudden with Stone Cold Steve Austin expected to be back tomorrow. Probably because The Rock came back. Booker T came back too iirc. Triple H vs The Undertaker in Wrestlemania!!!:)

That's because the whole Nexus story took the spotlight for about a year and it was like going back and forth too.

Great - now we've got two prats who make their entrance in a car - Del Rio and JBL's back as well - he's the Special Referee in Lawler's match; I can't stand this guy! :facepalm

Edit: Actually, I'm delighted JBL's back - he came back to get Stunner'd - twice! Austin signed the contract while JBL was out and Austin also poured beer over Michael Cole (who is becoming the most annoying man on the face of the planet) and made him run out of the arena crying and throwing a tantrum! Great stuff! :D

Austin can also sort this Jack Swagger prat out as well.

The middle finger and the beer is a nice throwback. First time he's used them in the PG Era.

Is this just a cameo appearance by JBL? And with Austin around, Cole is certainly not going to have everything going his way at Wrestlemania.

It's great to see the old superstars back in the WWE, next to come in is Trish Stratus. :D

Yup. I hope she trashes Vickie next week. :p

Not sure - it could well be a cameo; I hope so - I can't stand the guy! Austin on the other hand, I'd love to see him back full time, but as far as I know he sustained some sort of injury that prevents him from actually wrestling full time - I might be completely mistaken. ;)

This 'good guy v good guy' feud with Rock/Cena is interesting - it's usually 'heel vs face' (good v evil). The thing is, this must point to a match between Cena and the Rock at Wrestlemania - but Cena's already in a match with Les Mis (as I call him), isn't he? And Les Mis is also trash talking The Rock. WWE, I have a great idea - Cena v Les Mis v The Rock in a Triple Threat for the WWE Championship!!!! Even if the Rock pisses off again in a few months, it would be worth seeing that match - that would be worth the ?15 all by itself.
