Your anticipated games of 2011-12?

Yeah, looks like Rugby Challenge will be better. Can't wait until it comes out. Still another two months :(

That's a shame really that RWC 2011 isn't coming out on PC.

btw, for people in NZ and Australia, All Blacks Rugby Challenge is up for preorder on MightyApe. PC version is NZ$89.99 and AUS$72.99. X360 and PS3 version also available.

For a second I thought, wow, that's cheap, but then saw that the console version is $115. Overpriced for a game like rugby, I must say.

Rugby World Cup 2011 is also available for preorder on 360 at Mighty Ape for $115.

Rugby World Cup 2011

A re-hashed version of Rugby 2008 apparently. In the end I will probably end up getting both because obviously only the Rugby World Cup will be licensed in one of them and I imagine what one game has licensed the other won't so will have to get the best of both worlds.

That said, it does look like Rugby Challenge will be the better game and they have Super Rugby licensed but don't have the South African Licenses which could be interesting to see :p. But the big swing point for me, is the franchise mode, the license of the Aviva Premiership and of course being able to play with the mighty Melbourne Rebels!

I don't think either game have the South African licenses. But from what I've been told Rugby Challenge has a in depth editing system so it shouldn't be too hard to implement it.

While the Rugby World Cup isn't licensed, they'll more than likely have a generic world tournament that functions relatively similar.

I usually don't preorder games. I like to wait a few days after and see what the general consensus is about the game before I decide whether to buy it.

The only game I'm probably going to preorder is BF3 :D For those big games there'll be reviews out before its released probably. Or at least pretty in depth previews

Have you ever bought anything from them? I never seen a store with cheaper game prices than that in NZ.

Yea neither. They have an Australian store as well. Never bought from them yet but they seem decent enough. People on Cricsim have bought from the Australian equivalent and it's been good apparently.

That's true. Sites like IGN usually get a hands-on review up just before release.

It is cheap. I usually use MightyApe but that may change.

Mightyape's pretty good, especially when you want something delivered quick.

Cdwow.co.nz is pretty good but they take ages to ship

Yeah of course they will, but obviously Rugby Challenge will be the better game :p. But being an avid rugby fan, I'm likely to get both anyway :p.

RWC 2011 during the WC, RC at other times.

Tbh RC sounds too good to be true though.

For games you are sure will be good like BF3, you don't need reviews to tell you what to do. The game will be good 99.99% of the time with such games.

That's amazing. Found my new retailer of choice. Do they import, or do we get NZ versions?

That's a good point. I think they import so they'll probably have someone different on the cover.

The cover isn't what's important. The problem with playing with imported games is you can't buy the DLC from the NZ PS Store. UK and Australian versions work fine, but it's the US versions that are the problem. I think CDWOW imports from UK and Mighty Ape does, but First Games sometimes import from America which can be a problem. And I asssume there are similar problems on 360. As for PC, the DLC must work everywhere regardless.

I doubt there'd even be a US release for the game. They're based in the UK so the games would probably come from there
