Youth Pulls

My first non-ageing pull. Full ITS (Which is only 35 on a superb academy, down from 36!), will be put for sale tommorrow.

Wavell Folkes (925534)
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A cautious player with competent leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: TT Lions
Nationality: West Indies
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,790
Wages: ?1,017 p/w

Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: worthless

Zain, I hope you are reading this. I almost feel tempted to keep him for myself...
Starting price will be 200K. Should sell for wayyy above that.

That's a great pull Zorax. You should keep him for yourself. He could be a superb bowler by the end of this season. Don't sell!

Allan Custis - 17 yo, BT Rating=2,829
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A cautious player with competent leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: competent Consistency: feeble
Fielding: worthless

Anyway, this is my pull with 30 ITS, resp academy. I'm quite disappointed, but he's not bad. I can't really train him as I have way better trainees. So, I'm selling him. He's selling for ?10,000 now.

But Tuckett and Rudi are better trainees, can't stop them. For the first time, I am seriously considering stopping Crouch's training. Give 1 stam and 2 bwl to this guy...wait for stamina to hit Strong, toss him a fielding...

But then again, if I sell him I'll have loads of cash. Next season I am gonna stop Crouch's training anyways, with the cash I'll have by then I could buy a good trainee if I don't get a good one from the academy. But if I do get a good trainee from the academy, I could use the 2.5 mill I expect to have by then to buy a superstar!

But if I train him now, I won't need a new trainee....

Decisions, decisions!!!!!

Ok, I think I'll train him. He is very close to proficient. So lets say 16 weeks (2 weeks to get to proficient), 2 nets means a pop every 7 weeks, he will be, as Adarsh said, Superb at the end of the season. With Respectable stamina if I am lucky...

Jonathon Muir - 17 yo, BT Rating=3,646
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A steady player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: feeble
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: abysmal

34 ITS from my strong academy, I'm fairly happy. Just 1 batting net for the moment as I want to be able to play him. Stiles is already a great player, and will be even better, but his PFL is too low for him to be any use at the moment. He's down to 1 batting net, Muir taking his second.

Danny Sanders (925720)
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A cautious player with abysmal leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: Briggs Bullets
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,020
Wages: ?525 p/w

Stamina: feeble (10) Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: mediocre (11) Consistency: competent (11)
Fielding: abysmal

32 ITS used, not sure whether to train him or not, Keeping was a bonus as was fielding although not much of one. Some people have been pulling some amazing youths though on the sledging threads!

That's not a great pull Briggsey, to be honest. I doubt he'll sell for much, maybe 5k. I suggest you keep him as a back up player in your squad, with the players now playing so many games.

my youth pull...weirdly i was able to spend 36 ITS....i thought 35 was the max....

Nityanand Alshaun (928164)
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A cautious player with proficient leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Borncricketers XI

Wages: ?773 p/w

Stamina: competent(12) Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable(12) Consistency: competent (12)

I think he was worth the 36 ITS

Wow, better than mine! Suprising that he has lower wages though, probably a lower Respectable.

Elvis Stone (930592)
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh

Don't know what to do. My second ITS heavy pull of the year, put them into bowling, stamina and consistency. I have room for one bowling net, and one other net - I guess you guys are going to reccomend batting, but his concentration is too low to turn into a genuine all rounder. Should I sell or train? And how quickly will Consistency improve if I train?

Train I say. 2 bowling nets if you need an good spinner. If not, try 1 bowling and 1 stamina, let stamina hit proficient/strong, then give him a fielding.

I've gone for the former. Respectable stamina is pretty good. If all my team were that, I'd be a happy man.

I've got a pretty good spinner but he's just turned 29, se Stone here can replace him when he's ready.

Couple of questions. How long for a 17 YO to pop in Consistency on 2 bowling nets? And is there any way to tell how high a bowling mediocre he is based on wages, given that he's mediocre in batting and bowling?

Another bad YP for me. Competant bowler with mediocre stamina and feeble cons. Will be used in the cup games.

I'd say he is a low-mid in both.
And it depends on how many Pyscs you have. Two nets will have the same as 1 net of the same type anyways, so I'd guess he'd pop only once, twice if you are lucky, this season.
