I'm seriously in love with David Warner, this guy knows how to wing a piece of wood. For the first time since Shane Warne you actually sit on the edge of the edge of your seat for each ball waiting for something special to happen

Whats everyones thoughts about him?

Well I wouldn't go that far.

But yeah, the kid has a lot of talent obviously. Should be great to see where he goes. I think he looks like a player who will either get 50 odd in quick time or below 10. The way he is playing his cricket at the moment, I couldn't really see him scoring a hundred against a quality attack in an ODI. He'll end up hauling out.

Love watching him play.

He did show a lot more control this inns, wasn't trying to whack every ball out of the park. I reckon he can go on to make a 100, he has smashed Hilfy twice and this was before the death overs.

He's got a lot to prove before I give two somethings about him.

He'll be a flop. His innings today has kept his spot in the team for a little while yet, but I reckon ultimately that'll turn out to be a bad thing for Australia. He'll have really terrible form slumps, and when you're out of form trying to whack every ball over mid-wicket, you'll rarely make double figures.

He showed today he can score singles, having 17 singles early in his innings and at least 10 were quick ones that he just played with soft hands into the gap. Just because he scores quick, doesn't mean he can't slow down and work the singles. He does have concentration and temperament.

I was watching this guy play today on TV, and he was...he was...simply superb. I think this was his first ODI match and a 79 in the first ODI...Wow!

And I thought us Indians were hypemasters.

How many matches has the kid played? 4? And how many runs he has made?

T20 and ODI are different forms of the game....
1st T20 he scored 89, 2nd ODI he scored 69 pretty good effort if I do say so myself. Go have a look at how many runs Gilly, Dhoni, Afridi, Tendulkar and any other player you want made after 2 games.

So are you saying this guy who hasn't played first class is some sort of supergod who will keep scoring like crazy day in and day out. We all know how the above players turned out, how can we be so sure about this guy.

When did I say that? I'm saying hes done dam well after 2 matches especially considering the huge hype around him, yet people are still criticizing him. Give the guy a break for crying out loud. What he will be in the future who knows I'm no fortune teller if I was I would have brought lotto.

Warner doesn't interest me at all, there are tons of better sloggers around.

When Gibbs launched Johnson 12 rows back over extra cover yesterday my comment directed at the tv was "David who?".
