Zimbabwe tour of Australia

A great effort, but i dont think he was too pleased to beat the Don

Mark Taylor wasnt either

Bill Brown (Australia's oldest surviving Test player) who knew the Don and played with him, said that Bradman would be pleased, and that he would have said that records are there to be broken.

And heres the update.

**UPDATE**

1st Test - Close Of Play- Day Two

Australia 1st Innings: 735/6 declared (Hayden 380, Gilchrsit 113 not out)
Zimbabwe 1st Innings: 79/1

Hayden's 380 is of course the Test record.

Here is the top 5.

Matthew Hayden 380, Australia .v. Zimbabwe,Perth, 2003
Brian Lara 375, West Indies .v. England, Antigua, 1994
Sir Garfield Sobers 365 not out, West Indies .v. Pakistan, Kingston, 1957
Sir Len Hutton 364, England .v. Australia, The Oval, 1938
Sanath Jayasuria 340, Sri Lanka .v. India, Columbo, 1997

Steve Waugh can predict the future.

Here is what he said in November 2002.

I would not trade Matthew Hayden for anybody else in world cricket. If anyone is going to break Brian Lara's world record Test score of 375, he is the man.

Spooky.

Didn't see the innings, but I'm definately going to see the highlights. Great acheivement for him, but I wanted the record to be Lara's. He's still capable of getting it back though.
