Raina until he sorts out his 'facing short pitched bowling' problem, is a gross misfit at No. 3. Kohli is a better player of the short ball (or atleast we havent seen him struggle against it like Raina). Technically Kohli is more sound, he is flashy too when required and he is the ideal No.3 more than Raina. Raina should be No. 5 or 6 unless he sorts his problem. If he does, he can slot in at No.3 or 4.
I wish we see the end of Yusuf Pathan soon. Try out Nayar for more games instead of giving Yusuf so many chances. He is a 'IPL bully', thats all.
Kohli is just better at working the ball around for singles, and not losing his cool. Raina always has this urge to hit boundaries, while Kohli is more composed, and that's why he's had more success at the international level so far at number 3/4. Kohli is capable of being aggressive if he wants to, and he's just a very solid batsman. Still, he hasn't played much in foreign conditions, and we will have to test the likes of Kohli, Jadeja, Sharma and Raina in different conditions. Hoping to see Kohli bat in some challenging situations in this series.
I'll be keeping a close eye on the India A tour to UK - they're playing the longer format and the ODI format, so it'll be interesting to see which of the batsmen stand out in conditions that probably won't be overly favourable for the batsmen. A lot of competition for the batting slots, especially in the longer format(not yet, but soon enough), so performing abroad will definetely be important if they want to play for India in the future.

Good blog entry by Aakash Chopra. Brings out how India have only one A tour every year, and the A team changes frequently, while other countries tour with A teams more often and stick to the same players most of the time. And how players like Gambhir, Dhoni and Kohli made impressions playing successfully for India A abroad, and these 3 have been very successful so far, compared to Raina and Rohit who have taken some time to get used to international cricket.
