Zimbabwe Triangular Series 2010

Are you kidding me? You're choosing Dinda after one good match to be in the frontline attack for getting Kulusekara and Mendis out? He had a poor game against Zimbabwe. Wow is really all I can say.

I'm confused as to why Irfan Pathan didn't get a chance this series. I have no idea who these seamers are, but they don't belong on the international scene from these two matches.

I really don't get the Irfan Pathan hype...looked bleh in IPL as well. While Yadav troubled batsmen. Dinda is hmm, good work rate, but nothing else. However, Dinda was better than Yadav today. Troubled the openers at the start as well.

And of course they're playing the short balls easily. They're well set - and as Rohit showed in that match against Australia in the T20 World Cup, once he was set, he pulled Nannes with ease. Plus, there's nothing in the wicket for the seamers. No extra bounce, so it's not that hard to play the short ball on these wickets...

Good stuff from Kohli and Sharma though. Kohli continues to play well in an India shirt and Sharma is showing some sort of consistency finally.

They have shown promise. I saw Yadav troubling the batsmen and hurrying them at times and the same goes with Dinda. If ever we are going to experiment with our bowling, its between now and the SA tour. By the time we take the flight to SA, we should be more or less clear as to who our bowlers are going to be. So, I`d rather give Dinda and Yadav a chance in the Asia cup along with a senior to mentor them before going back to say, someone like Pravin Kumar.

Great win for the boys. Should really boost their morale well. Dinda, Ojha and Jadeja seems to have bowled really well. Rohit Sharma might cement his place in the side with these twin hundreds. I would only be too happy if he can translate his potential into form and score consistently. Good knock from Virat Kohli (cant keep him out for long). Very satisfying win! I again say, dont make major changes to this team for the Asia Cup. Just bring in one or two more experienced hands (bring back Dhoni for captaincy, and bring in Zak as aditya said for the bowling strength and experienced hand). Let these boys gain more experience.

Whats the Indian media talking now?:p:D

India should not take Asia cup lightly imo. They should play their full strength team. Let these players play against bangladesh or other minnows team first in asia cup.

Oh, now I came to know the actual reason! I din't watch match, so India won:p.

BTW, well played India. And we've now got replacement for Tendulkar's place (Not Tendulkar). If he retires, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag can open with Kohli at no.3:yes.

Rohit Sharma again a century...Want him to score many more runs like this!

Finally something good. Will they party? ;)

Yes, I am surprised seeing him score two good hundreds (one when we lost, and one when we won). These hundreds are significant since they are coming when we are fielding a second string side.

Or I think India should send another second string side for the ODI's that we might play in Sri Lanka this year (since we are sure to tour Sri Lanka this year for a test cum ODI series). Btw, I saw Zee News yesterday and it said that top players could be axed for the Asia Cup. Most likely, they are referring to the likes of Yuvraj, Zaheer, Harbhajan, Gambhir, etc.

Zee News. Lol. That is all.

Rohit Sharma still has a lot to prove against quality opposition in foreign conditions - as do Kohli, Raina etc.

Vinay Kumar has been ruled out with injury, and Abhimanyu Mithun replaces him. Again, not too happy with this pick - should've sent Nayar. As long as none of the batsmen get injured I'm happy, since I don't want to see any of them going to England coming back to play in Zimbabwe. The experience they get in England will be better. Good conditions for bowlers will be a challenge for the fringe players. However, Mithun misses out on some valuable experience in England and he's not a finished product for ODIs yet. We've got too many bowlers in Zimbabwe too...there's no backup batsmen, except Naman Ojha, and while I'm a fan of Naman, he's been picked on IPL form and he's there as backup wicketkeeper.

Nice win for India, I think I underestimated Rohit Sharma!

If Kohli will bat at no.3, then where the hell will Raina go?:p He surely deserves to be at no.3, Kohli at 4, Yuvraj-out of the team/5, Dhoni-6, Jadeja/Yusuf/Nayar-7.

Raina until he sorts out his 'facing short pitched bowling' problem, is a gross misfit at No. 3. Kohli is a better player of the short ball (or atleast we havent seen him struggle against it like Raina). Technically Kohli is more sound, he is flashy too when required and he is the ideal No.3 more than Raina. Raina should be No. 5 or 6 unless he sorts his problem. If he does, he can slot in at No.3 or 4.

I wish we see the end of Yusuf Pathan soon. Try out Nayar for more games instead of giving Yusuf so many chances. He is a 'IPL bully', thats all.
