Zimbabwe Triangular Series 2010

Indias Loss To Zimbabwe Is The selector Srikant itself .He Is Ignoring the players Who performing well in ipl like manish pandey ,robin uthappa and sourabh tiwary .this player should have given chance play in zimbabwe tour but srikant is from chennai and he is giving chance to chennais player itself in indian squad and murali vijay is not good player:laugh .he just played big innings against rajasthan royal.and dont forget that rajasthans bowler is not good at that match .robin uthappa played some great firing innings in this ipl but selector not picked him to zimbabwe tour .and dinesh karthik is not in good form .yesterday a lot of runs came from extras and still he not gave good for india he just playing steadily like we are watching test match from him he should rest and naman ojha should get chance to play next one day

Uthappa is injured and out for 3 months...Cricinfo confirmed it yesterday during the match.

Pandey and Saurabh are raw, and going with India A to UK will only help them become better players. Both have had one great domestic season. Just one. They need to show they can perform well consistently. When players were picked immediately after their first season, we've seen them struggle - Raina and Rohit for example. On the other hand, Kohli had success in India A tours, and was the best batsman in the Emerging Players Tournament in Australia, in addition to his U-19 World Cup win and a gun domestic season where he played some impressive knocks for Delhi. And, he's adjusted very well to international cricket. Just because Kohli was able to come into the national squad and be consistent, doesn't mean that every single youngster will be able to handle international cricket easily.

When judging the bowlers, keep in mind the captain. Defensive fields abound in ODIs from experienced captains; who is Raina, in his first international match as captain, to defy conventional wisdom? There were a lot of periods where the bowlers were doing exactly what they were asked to do; Zimbabwe scored 2/85 in the middle 20. The troubled is that 4/100 would have given them a better chance of winning.

However at the start, I think Raina was honestly looking for wickets, but he got a bit lost under the pressure. The first 10 overs were good for Zimbabwe, but they weren't exactly embarrassing for India. It just seemed to spiral out a bit from there. Vinay Kumar got a couple of overs, then Yadav got a couple, then Vinay Kumar again. Then they took the Powerplay and put spinners on. It bore a bit too much resemblance to Twenty20 and reeked of indecision; no surprise that the bowlers couldn't get into a rhythm.

Murali Vijay= EPIC FAIL/Good for nothing/ Etc etc!
He hit that century in fluke. Absolute rubbish Cricket I saw ever. He just blindly played some shots. Poor bowling from Rajasthan and the track being dead flat made him hit century. Not only him. Even if Ravichandran Ashwin/Stuart Broad/Brett Lee/Mitchell Johnson/Kyle Mills would have been in Vijay's place, they'd have hit Double Centuries:yes. Vijay, not having much talent, got just upto century.

But you cannot point out KKD as he's the only best keeper available ATM. If someone like Naman Ojha would have kept, the extras would have been similar with both the sides:yes.

@ Reeve (MPF): Yeah, I do agree. But see the reason why is Rania consistent in the team? The reason is the chances he's getting as he's a CSK player. But he performeding even though he was given chances, which has to be respected. But I don't see any problem in Making Virat Kohli, a non regular member as captain if I see the talent he has. Wait. Next year, Anil Kumble won't be playing IPL and then comes Virat Kohli into action for RCB!:yes Then, what I wish right now is to beat Dhoni and his men and give it back to Cheeka! Not only that, Manish Should score a double ton against CSK!

Cheeka will die off heart attack if that happens:laugh

Uthappa is injured and out for 3 months
Not at all! He consistently tweeted that he would be alright in 15 days.:yes

Ya Binnu I Will With you And I Will Pray To God That Next Years IPL Manish Should Score Double ton Not Only That Uthappa should hit 6 sixes in an over of ashwin Then Defnatively Cheeka Gets heart attack

But Retirement of Dravid as captain made selectors give Dhoni a chance as he did prove himself when he won the World Cup for us.

As far as I remember, it was Sachin who pointed out/suggested for Dhoni.

Give the players some time. It's best to experiment in this way & see who shines out rather than depending on old RPs and Nehras for WC2011. :facepalm They are just climbing the first step & we are already pushing them down, not at all a good sign.

Not that, Six sixes is not required, giving our batsmen more trouble. Double century is enough for a heart attack:laugh.

ok brother double ton will cause cheeka heart attack ?

Lets keep the topic to roll on in right context please. :readit We can think of this strategy(how to induce heart attack in Srikanth ) later. Thanks.

Are you serious mate? Teams barely reach 200 how on earth do you expect a single individual to score 200? Btw you can pray all you want but God is going to disappoint you ALL the time!

Yeah, Sachin did suggested Dhoni. But what for he suggested?
Mainly due to the success he had in T20 World Cup:yes.

And I'm not discouraging Raina. What exactly I say is to keep Raina out of those captaincy issues, and make the better one. Raina is performing good these days, and if you give captaincy duty, he may lose concentration on batting by keeping his eye on the team. Kohli is much experienced, tested and proved, whereas Raina is a newbie when it comes to captaincy:yes. So why don't you go with an experienced person when he's available and ready to take up?

Kohli had to first make sure that he is playing in team XI. They can't just give a captaincy who hasn't proved to be reliable for team till now. If Raina is not going to captain, say, then obvious second choice would be Karthik still & not Kohli.

Not that disappointed about our defeat. We had to experiment with a younger, not too experienced B-team sooner or later for the sake of molding a strong batch of reserve players capable of replacing the likes of Tendulkar after their retirements. Hopefully, our boys will take home lots of positives from this series.

And it was good to see Dinda in the team. It's been a long time since a Bengali bowler last made it to the national side. Hope there's a bright future waiting for him.

Zimbabwe have and had some decent players, it looks as if one or two are creeping back into the fold and they could be a side causing upsets and hopefully, if they get back on track, could return to the Test arena.

Taylor, Ervine, Chigumbura, Blignaut and Price are all decent cricketers. One problem strikes me is they have a lot of all-rounders, or what if they played for England we'd call 'bits n pieces' cricketers.
