Zimbabwe Triangular Series 2010

Or they could send their A team, clobber India and Zimbabwe and break a few records and partay with the Cup.

They wont party because they would be beating an India A side (if they do, although I still think India could pose problems in ODI's even with a second string side as almost none of the players have burden of expectations on their back).

We' ll lose to Lanka in the group matches and will lose the final as well :p

The main reason why the Board has chosen a second string team is mainly coz the players must be bored of playing with the same opposition time and again. :laugh

I hope this one is not on TV.

I might watch one or two games to see how the pitches behave. If they are lively and have good bounce, it would be a terrific lesson for the Indian flat track bullies (not their fault though - all our batsmen are built up in that way right from domestic level). Would be interesting if our second string boys face up to Malinga and Thushara on those lively pitches and get good chin music.

Sri Lanka also selects an almost second string team for the triangular series; Dilshan to lead team

So both the Asian neighbors will test their bench strength for this series, which will be good. Its still international cricket, but will be played between second string sides. Good opportunity for youngsters to stake claim for permanent berths.

Dilshan to lead Sri Lanka in Zimbabwe | Cricket News | Zimbabwe Triangular Series | Cricinfo.com

Cricinfo said:
Sri Lanka squad: Tillakaratne Dilshan (capt), Angelo Mathews (vice-capt), Upul Tharanga, Thilan Samaraweera, Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Chamara Kapugedera, Suraj Randiv, Nuwan Kulasekara, Thilan Thushara, Ajantha Mendis, Jeevan Mendis, Dilhara Fernando, Chamara Silva, Thissira Perera.

Jeevan Mendis is the new name. Chandimal retained, Thirimanne called up again. And Tharanaga and Dilhara back in the squad after not being picked for the World T20s.

Zimbabwe would indeed surprise the Asian 'giants', only, you cannot call their wins a surprise now :D

This will be a keen contest, the hosts might run away with the trophy.

Rohit Sharma's big chance. I guess Raina's place in the team is safe...since he's coming out at number 5.

Naman Ojha should've played over KDK, for me personally. The Indians just look so lacklustre at this point.

India is oing dumb till now. Lazy Vijay was really lazy.:p
Big chance for Rohit and Pathan though.

Rohit is doing some damage and kindoff securing his place
AM looking forward for Dinda!!
