Zimbabwe Triangular Series 2010

Ha ha ha I can't believe this, India going around with IPL bowlers and expect to win ODIs, well done Zim, now put a cut ass on Dilshan and company and some folks will start taking you guys serious!!!:clap:clap

Besides the inability of our bowlers to take wickets, really need to look at the way Vijay and KDK played up top. Mpofu bowled well, but really, they should've done more. Kohli went for a risky single, but oh well, Kohli has played well against better opposition. I think he'll do well if he gets some batting time. Also, Naman Ojha please.

Rohit Sharma needs to be looked upon as a finisher than someone who bats higher up the order. He found singles so hard to get - but, generally, when he's free to play his strokes, he looks exquisite. Some credit to Jadeja on the way he batted today. Was troubled his first few balls, but perhaps looked the most comfortable of the Indian batsmen when it came down to taking singles.

Good stuff from Zimbabwe, and a well deserved victory. Choked India with their spinners, and paced their run chase very well. Craig Ervine is a good find.

Great god. These people of the Ervine family can do anything. Top effort, 67 off 60, a matured and calm-paced effort. Usually debutants get bogged down early off but he stood there and played some great shots as well. Now Indian fans would moan that this is a second string side any side in the world can beat. The next game India wins, flip.

Taylor, got almost a century man. Do on sri lanka now. Hamilton stood for a great start, He based the start till ball went a little old, and Coventry with the final fireworks. He should've got to that but never mind, it helped.

India. Fair effort. Not demeaning the bowlers, Three of them debutants, and three of them bowlers. In Zimbabwe. Not a easy thing to go out there and bowl with the INDIA tag on them. People don't see mercy value for them. They're like "if India, no matter what, they'd win!"

Vinay Kumar bowled brilliantly. Not to be overshadowed by the efforts of the zimbabwean batsmen, he's a supremo at variations. He can now try a bit of spin as well. Very nice bowler.

Rohit, no worries. The century still counts. He's in supreme form and the series is whole ahead of this match, so he's gonna fill in a big spot if India are to win all out from here. :D

Cheers for Zimbabwe! I just love these guys! :D The forgotten SA'ans! :p

The regular Indian bowlers are Bench Strength quality bowlers, and if you go for Bench bowlers, They are not at all cricketers:laugh.

Only solution available ATM is Make Kohli captain, which can make opponents feel bit difficult with the bowling changes he does.:yes
Raina's bull sh!t regular bowling won't make any difference, and there is no chance that Rania could make few fair logical moves.

@ All Raina supporters: Winning couple of games for CSK with the advices of Hayden, Morkel, Kemp, Dhoni, etc etc is not the talent. Clean Sweeping the World Cup (might be under 19, but its most difficult to estimate the opponent at that tender age), Deodhar Trophy (with the likes of Zaheer Khan, Yusuf Pathan, Ashoke Dinda, Pragyan Ojha, Badrinath as opponent) with own mind is the talent, which needs to be respected.:yes

Better late than never, Give Kohli a chance! I'm sure India will win the tournament if Kohli gets captaincy from the next game on.:yes

C'mon Zim, you're the only team now to keep out the "GREAT TALENT"(:sarcasm) of Suresh Raina- the Cheeka SUPER KING:sarcasm.

And I'm sure that India gonna win World Cup 2015 under Virat Kohli.:yes

2011 will be replica of 2009 and 2010.:laugh

cRAP! iNDIA Sucks but for zimbabwe :clap.

In recent days they won against WI, Aussies and now India.

Wow can't believe I called this, I bet on Zimbabwe to win at 5/1 :)

How did Yadav go?

Their performances of late have been quite impressive and with some players returning back to the fold, I think we are seeing the start of the revival of Zimbabwean cricket.

We also got a delicious taste of what Indian cricket will be like once the big names retire :laugh

Love it

A bit harsh. There is enough batting talent. The bowling however, needs some work.

Umesh Yadav was probably the pick of the faster bowlers, was great, until his over in the batting powerplay which went for 18. None of them did anything wrong - there was just nothing in the pitch for the quicker bowlers. Probably bowled too straight sometimes however. Plus, they were all on debut. If anyone is to be blamed, it's the openers for their slow start.

Probably should play Mishra and Pragyan Ojha next game.

Big names include Zaheer Khan LL, and once he goes the attack is awful (not that Zaheer is in great form nowadays himself)

The only bowler who looks like a potential superstar in the future is Mishra and he is not a seamer

We have always produced those special cricketers at the right times. Zaheer, Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Sehwag all came in when we thought we might not find replacements for Srinath, Azhar, Jadeja and Kumble. We are a country that learns slower than others, and our bowlers will eventually come to terms with T20/ODI bowling. Till then, we just have to rely on decent performances.

THIS IS A WEAK TEAM, MOST OF THEM HAVE EITHER PLAYED ONLY ONE GAME OR THIS IS THEIR FIRST GAME!! Also this is their first game on a new tour (we all know Indians are naturally shaky starters when on tours). I dont know whats there to feel embarassed about. What if these bowlers bowl really well in their next game? Cricinfo's Bulletin says it well. This is not an upset, Zimbabwe were actually the stronger side of the two.

Looks like Jadeja feels at home in ODI's. 61 off 61 at SR of 100 in an ODI is excellent, and that partnership with Rohit saved us embarassment. Also his bowling figures of 1-51 in 10 sounds good. The boy just cant handle T20's.
