Just catching up on this story of the Chilean miners stuck down there...they have been told that rescue could take up to four months...what the heck...can't imagine anything worse than that....

Well even if it is "just" a few weeks, it still isn't my idea of having a good time....

But can you imagine what it is like down there. Must be horribe. Of course as a miner you would be used to the circumstances but it would drive me utterly insane me thinks...

Yeah I was just thinking how I would feel if it was me. I'm pretty claustrophobic too so I'd be freaking out really really bad.

I hope the countries watching who have better technology available will offer the assistance. I'm a bit shocked there has not been an international response to this. Leaving them down there for 4 months should not be acceptable. We can send a man to the moon we sure as hell can get those boys out faster than the current plan.

There is a lot of rock in the way... They'll have the drill going on for as long as they can to get them out. I don't think there is a quicker way to do it

To be fair they are asking Nasa to help them set-up a map of the situation...

Other drills would probably be in private hands anyway and wouldn't be available
