Are we seeing a revival in quality pace attacks in test cricket?

Average of 23 and SR of 39, pray tell what more Steyn has to do to

Be good if curators around the world could prepare some pitches with a bit of pace and bounce. Way too many advantages for batsmen these days

Bowler Tests Wickets Average Strike rate 5WI/ 10WM
Dale Steyn 32 179 20.84 36.7 12/ 4

If that is not the best sight in cricket then I don't know what is.

Also LOL at India, almost 40 Tests and only 9 5fers :laugh

and apparently Sri Lanka are even worse.

It's because they rely so heavily on spin. New Zealand have played something like ten tests less but have more pace wickets than India.

what do you expect without kumble?

Its a list of 5fers taken by pace bowlers, not all bowlers

Oh geeze. :doh i thought that included all bowlers. My bad, my bad. too many things are going on :(

Quality of pace has gone down apparently as Asif and Aamer face certain life bans.

Ameer's controversy doesnt mean we will lose quality on fast bowling in world cricket. Someone else will come up. Character is more important. People who sell themselves out have no place in sports.

^I am not saying he should not be banned or anything. I just meant that his talent is lost to World cricket.
