Indian Pace Attack, No. 1 IMO. What you say after reading 1st post?

No.1:laugh
They are good then many teams have(UAE, Ireland, Scotland etc etc)

Who are they better than then?

Key point. Definetly not better then Australia's, England's and South Africa's. Considering I am struggling to even put a seam trio/quartet together for India (the only real consistent one is Zaheer Khan) it's hard to judge against the rest of the countries as they chop and change so often.

Hilarious thread. I love that fact that others are trying to argue his point. Haha

It's ridiculous to say they are the best in the world. Only Zaheer Khan can take wickets on all types of wickets, if you want to be the best then you have to be the best on every wicket.

I'd agree with you Bob if Zaheer had not fallen off the wagon himself. His wicket taking ability and his pace have dropped dramatically. 2 years ago Id say he was the best Test fast bowler, now he is not even in the top 5.

No, no, no. You're forgetting the fact that RP Singh bowled well for about 4 weeks in the IPL held in SA; Ishant Sharma took 6 wickets at 59.66 in Australia and Sreesanth took 13 wickets at 32.15 in English domestic cricket last season. Add those 3 bowlers to the masterful swing bowling of Zaheer Khan, with his 91 wickets at 31.53 outside the subcontinent (that goes up to 34.61 if you take out NZ) and you've got the makings of an attack that easily surpasses the best Pace Attacks in world cricket. How on earth do Steyn, Morkel, De Wet, Parnell, Ntini, McLaren and the fellow Saffas; Anderson, Broad, Onions, Flintoff (in LO cricket) Sidebottom, Bresnan, Finn, and potentially Simon Jones of England; Johnson, Bollinger, Siddle, Tait, Nannes, Harris, McKay, Clark, and the rest of the Aussies; Aamer, Asif, Gul, Rana, Akhtar and Sami of Pakistan; Taylor, Edwards, Roach, Sammy, Rampaul, Tonge and Baker of the WI; Southee, Bond, Mills, Martin, Arnel, Franklin, Tuffey, Thompson and Mason of NZ; Malinga, Kulasekara, Mathews, Thushara, Maharoof, Fernando, Prasad and Vaas of SL; possibly compare to the might of India's pace demons? FTR, I do rate Zaheer Khan, just had to make a dig at his Test record for comedic purposes.

It has to be partly because of Tendulkar, every young Indian kid wants to be him and wants to bat. Even in my club none of the Indian guys enjoy bowling and when they do bowl its spinners.

I'd say it's more to do with the dreadfully slow, dusty wickets that just aren't conducive to pace bowling. That's probably why outside Dev and possibly Srinath, India have never produced world class seam bowlers; or not ones that have produced on the world stage for a decent period of time anyway.

What do I say after reading the first post? OMG What a disgrace this thread is. Best pace attack in the world? I can't even laugh at that, its so ridiculous.

Seriously without Bond now I'd say they were better than NZ, and WIndies can be wayward.

Roach, Edwards, Taylor, Powell and Benn have the makings of a better attack.
