At this stage Pakistan would be more than happy to get that 1 point atleast.

I had backed Rohit just over a year ago here on PC and today he is here at the WC already having 2 hundreds. I think now all those criticisms regarding his batting should definitely go away. It's always about his attitude and his confidence rather than anything else. I agree Pakistan didn't bowl full to him but he has actually played well this innings

This hasn’t been the classic Rohit innings though, he has been positive right from the start for a change and it’s quite refreshing!

Pakistan are still very much into it. The forecast calls for Light Rain, which would likely mean a start-stop-start-stop kinda game. If it gets to a point where overs are docked, Pakistan could be chasing a total that is more than chaseable in a T20 match.

Despite the loss of wickets, India look set for a 340 odd score. If Pakistan chase this in 20 overs, they should be chasing something like 220-230 (a near 7 per over in ODI is equivalent to a 11-12 per over in T20's). Does the current DLS factor in for these comparisons? I doubt so. If India lose this to DLS, there will be a massive furore.

It's a part of the game. You constantly keep improving yourself when you are playing International Cricket.

I don’t understand sending Dhoni in ahead of Jadhav in the death overs, when Kedar’s been a much more aggressive batsman by the numbers over the last four years.

Brilliant innings that from Rohit, KL batted maturely in those first 10 overs which was very necessary. Kohli did what he does best, too good. I won't blame Dhoni going for the big shot and getting out, it was necessary although there was no need for Pandya to try and go for a six every ball. A very good total so far although we still can for more! Go India.

I guess this is the end for Hassan Ali in this tournament, his recent form has been nothing short of horrendous. He still bowls 1-2 excellent deliveries per over but throws all of it away with his thoroughly average, 130 kph half trackers.

More like why Shankar should be sent in ahead of Jadhav. Dhoni shined against Australia that's why he was given the green light. But frankly speaking holding Jadhav back ahead of Shankar is kind of bizarre.

Watching Rohit's innings highlights. Looked absolutely beautiful. For those that watched it live, did he look in complete command? Hope Rohit has a dream World Cup. He has been in superlative form (fingers crossed) and this feels very Sachin'ish in terms of how he is owning it right now.

Barring a few edges and misses, the man was absolutely great today. Didn’t struggle at the start or go into his shell like usual but instead counter-attacked excellently, leaving the good balls when needed and attacking the bad ones with conviction. Should have got a 200 today had he not taken the obvious bait from Hassan.

Hardik was a big wicket. Whatever India gets in the end, I reckon they would be short by 25-30 runs .

With more rain breaks predicted, Pakistan will at least have the advantage of knowing how fast to accelerate.

Shankars short stay so far has reminded me of his absolute horrendous T20 batting debut where he was missing and mistimimg every delivery and almost lost us the game

Hope he does better

Nah. It was too short a stay for Shankar out there, for you to compare it with that horrendous T20 performance in the Nidahas trophy final. For that matter, even Hardik did not look great out there but he still got 26 off 19 balls in the end.

For me, Shankar has to go out there and flex his shoulders and go slam bang. With 20 balls left, even if he gets out, Jadhav comes out. And Kohli takes 75-80% of the strike (around 15-16 balls off the remaining 20).
