Ngidi has been struggling with fitness issues over the entire series, bit strange that he was bowling for the 'A' team prior to the tests (in the first-class games rather than List A too) if he wasn't entirely fit. Far worse than the Indian management bowling a clearly unfit Bhuvi and ensuring that he didn't play in the test series, at least he played in an ODI prior to a longer series with a significant gap in between. And if South Africa do go in with Muthusamy as the sole spinner, someone definitely needs to investigate Faf for being high.

As for Linde, his domestic record is impressive and despite his slightly unusual action, he has the subtle variations to thrive. Might be too big of a task for someone coming in fresh off the plane though, as Piedt who was the leading wicket-taker in the Sunfoil Series last year flattered to deceive even after the spin camp and warmup games here.

I am sorry I wasn't aware of his fitness issues. I was actually wondering why hasn't he been playing.

I completely disagree. I don't believe I have seen the best Cricket so far. For me I think 1992-2000 was the best era of Cricketing history so far. But I believe the coming years it would very competitive.

I take it your era wasn't the 90's then? I wasn't making a definitive arguement, just something I have observed generally. But I agree, that era, for me at least, was the most competetive and most balanced between bat and ball. I felt the 80's was heavily bowling and now it's all batting. They're slowly killing the fast bowler and it kills me to see. I've hated the two new balls idea from the onset.

I think this innings of Rohit Sharma has to be his best in his career atleast in Test matches. With fall of early wickets when the ball moving a bit and there were few balls that were staying low Rohit came out as a savior. Not really surprised with the way Rahane has played as he is a batsman who would always be there when the team faces a difficult situation. All in all a good recovery this.

I think it's poor move from South Africa to get the new ball and get the pacers in to bowl to Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja who like to use the pace of the ball to get runs.

Finally after 6 years in his Test Career Rohit Sharma gets a double ton.

Credit where credit is due, Rohit has been fantastic over the last two days and has shown that he is an absolute monster in home conditions, a fact that he hasn’t got enough credit for.

I think Rabada bowled beautifully on 2nd day of the 2nd Test in the morning session to Kohli who was batting close to a 100. So far I think even Piedt has been used as a defensive bowling option in this Test.

It is insanely dark out there that too at 3:30pm in the Afternoon. I felt it was a good decision to stop play over here. It almost looked like we were playing a Day & Night Test with the Red ball.

I remember The Last Tour of SA to India
Ind Won 2-0 but failed to whitewash because one test was interrupted and called off due to rain
That was unfair and unlucky

But this time India will clean whitewash SA I believe

Also Why Kohli declared before his triple ton in 2nd test?It was a rare moment and no cricketers wants to miss
Even dismissed at Hitting at high strike rate while reaching to triple ton would be better than declare at 250+
Sources say Kohli did for team but India won before many overs

Also once I remember he was self quit from batting at 90s although umpire gave not out
Later It was saw he cursed himself why he left field when he knew he was not out

This 2 things will confuse me lifetime
