According to my opinion, YES! I don't think Pant should even be picked for the T20 World Cup this year. It has to be Dinesh Karthik, Ishan Kishan who will be the keepers with KL Rahul as a backup (worst case scenario). For captaincy, obviously Rohit will captain and Rahul will be backup.

Rishabh Pant ain't that a bad skipper especially when the spinners are operating and the ball is doing a bit of the surface as well.

Dinesh Karthik has manufactured a miracle for India. Almost on route to 2-2 now because of him. Splendid stuff!

Why wasn't Harshal Patel & Bhuvi used much today? Avesh who was terrible in the last game got a perfect pitch to shine. Bhuvi was pretty good but wasn't given middle overs. Could've picked a wicket or two there.

And this is the thing with assessing captaincy, it takes quite a while to earmark someone as a good captain whilst it is all too easy to brand them as a poor one on the back of a few mistakes.

I do think Pant’s got some gutsy thinking in him that hasn’t quite translated well over to results but feel like it is too early to dismiss him as a captaincy prospect yet. Having said that, he shouldn’t be in the T20I side with his numbers in the first place so the point is moot.

Would rather have Ngidi in the 15-Man Squad than in Playing XI. Also it won't be a bad idea to have Parnell in for Pretorius. The only player I can think of as a no.3 is Aiden Markram. Although Klassen played a couple of good knocks this series he is yet to prove himself in seaming conditions where bowlers get pace & bounce. Hence South Africa just need a proper batter at no.6 IMO.
