Indian Premier League - General Discussion

Why is Rohit off the field?
In one of the interview Rohit did mention he still has the ankle issue of last year. Maybe because of that?

Sending Lalit Yadav in before Pant, amassing pressure on him to go from the get go on such a track where you know he's your gun batter. Madness!

Mumbai are winning this arnt they? :spy

Bumrah bowling 2 no balls in the same over in the penultimate over is criminal! So unlike him!

- Rohit going for another slog after one in the same over, giving away his wicket

- Hardik getting out playing the wrong shot at wrong time

- Middle order falling like a deck of cards

- Bumrah giving two no bowling in the 19th over of the match while defending

Mistakes that cost us the match.

Chris Gayle should go down in history as the bloke that has won the most games in the IPL and being the main deterrent to his franchises winning the tournament.

The moment you buy him in the auction, the pressure to include him is persistent or the torture of having to carry him in your squad.

Do you mean fan pressure? Like if they don't play him the fans would attack the team management, that way?

SRH have made the right changes this game. Barring Natarajan (who has a niggle), dropping Pandey was the right decision to make and bringing Jadhav in should strengthen the middle order, with Kane at his rightful position at 3. Just need to take those two wickets quickly and bundle Punjab for 120 and chase that total down.

I think Malan should've come in place of Gayle. Gayle is only playing because of reputation for big sixes, but you can't expect him to hold up one end and rotate the strike especially where boundaries are hard to come by at Chepauk. Punjab lack a proper accumulator that can hold up one end and rotate the strike in that middle order.

I feel instead of dropping Pandey who has atleast scored runs, they should have dropped Vijay Shankar who is at best yet another mediocre player who made his way to the Indian side.

I think he amount of criticism that Shankar gets at times is unnecessary. It wasn't his fault that the selectors chose him over Rayudu. Also he is a good player. He is just a little low on confidence.

I have not seen him play one good innings. Is he always low on confidence? Perhaps he should get a confidence booster shot :noway . We have shit loads of talent in our country and we always tend to pick the mediocre ones. I am pretty sure he is not going to be near the Indian side. Atleast not in the way he currently performs.
