I got it from www.gamespot.com. Came down fast, and worked perfectly. You have to register, but it's free, and they don't send you cr@p all the time.

Using fast bowlers to bang short balls into the body with fielders at silly point and short leg often gets wickets early, as the batsman can glove the ball to them if he doesn't get onto it. It's a good tactic for hitting them too, if you need to rattle their confidence.

By the sounds of it, it's something you haven't done before, but updating the graphics card's drivers can make a big difference, not only as far as games working, but also to performance. Check what GFX card you have, and download the latest drivers for it.. It's well worth doing.

I think that if you bat on harder levels, the shots tend to go in different directions more often. On village level, everything flies off of the middle of the bat, and you get very linear spider diagrams.

BLIC 2005 is a great game, but with some major flaws. I still prefer BLC 99, as it was so easy to edit, and had all the county and shield teams.

True, but that's the great thing about being able to edit the team/players. The great people on this website overcame the problem of the unlicensed names on the first day the game came out. Just stick phoney names in, and let us do the rest. At least on the PC, anyway. :onpc
