If it's true that the issues many have had come down to imbalances in the ratings for players then that highlights the only real flaw (is that the right word? #massiveoversight?) in the cricket academy system.
I always thought that for the sake of game balance it would have been preferable for...
I remember flagging the "phantom leaves" on the PS4 version as a potential bug within days of the next gen release but don't think I got any replies or anyone else having the same issue at the time... glad to see it's not just me!
Unfortunately between this and the CA issue I haven't picked the...

Description of Issue: Every time I try to play a shot off the front foot against a spinner the "padding up" plays out. Played a game vs India All Time. 6...
First game was on Pro, second on amateur (because I forgot to change it in settings). Didn't notice a difference in number of incidences (sp?) in either difficulty...
Possibly but my finger is well clear of X. Unless I'm accidentally depressing both joysticks... but it was something I was...
Got home form work pretty late last night so only had time to play a couple of T10's (PS4 version) but noticed that the shot input seems a little berked...
Found my batsmen just leaving/padding up to the ball instead of playing a shot... this seemed particularly true against spinners where the...
But then the better response would be to make timing a half volley or a full toss much easier... so risk and reward if you want to keep trying to bowl yorkers but don't land them then you get punished.
And remember the batsman can always change the length of the ball by standing further deeper...
Question for PC users as you have the latest almighty tweaks...
With the improvements in edge physics have any of you now gotten a genuine short-leg or bat pad chance? ie something that looks like it happens in real life?
Thanks
Loving loving loving the game post patch, batting feels so much more controlled and taking wickets feels like an achievement (playing pro).
Couple of things:
1) I'm still finding the ball not carrying to the keeper sufficiently, bowling good length on a hard pitch at 140kph+
2) AI pacing at...
I'm relatively ambivalent about a fielding radar - would like it but can live without it - but I have to say that in over 20 uniterrupted seasons of playing cricket, including at a pretty high standard, I have never heard a batsman say "dammit I got caught by the man on the cover boundary...
I'd just like to see them have the RAS as an analogue input rather than the triggers.
That way you could control the power put into the shot by how far you push the stick.
People would be able to nudge the ball around the field by holding R2 and pushing further on the stick and a risk/reward...
While that's technically true I think it's reasonable to asume that the length determination is made by the AI either at the same time as or earlier than the input point for humans... of course you know what they say about assumptions!
As for online, the in-built "lag" is specifically to...
I've heard this mentioned a few times but it's simply not true. While the line is not decided until the point of release the length "zone" (short/good/full) is locked in on the "pull back" of the RAS (pace) and at the start of the run up (spin) both of which is quite a long time (in gaming...
Thanks, can't believe I never spotted that...
Just for my own interest, any reason for the 7 ball overs?
Also, I see that you have ticked bolwer caps; with no limit to the overs in an innings how does the computer calculate the cap?
Hi guys,
I've seen @Biggs previously speak highly of a match format for online created by @MattW.
I've done some seraching but couldn't find details, could anyone point me in the right direction.
Does anyone have any other match formats they like to use for a quick pick up n play...
Got a low full toss on the pads off the spinner, smashed it to the legside using lofted shot.
Silly mid on dived up and across (think goalkeeper saving in the top right hand corner) and plucked the ball out of mid air around about in line with short leg...
I was referring to the variety of edges. I think there are just about the right number of caught behind dismissals (by the keeper). But I wouldn't mind seeing the dismissals from normal shots being lofted replaced by cateches to the rest of the cordon or genuine bat/pad chances.
You make some reasonable points however I think there are some things you are forgetting:
1) In the game you do not have any way of watching the bowlers grip, delivery, release etc to give you any hint it might be a lower ball
2) In the game you do not have any way of adjusting or changing...
While much of what you say is true in a perfect world there are 3 major issues:
1) Cost - Building a high spec top of the line PC is not cheap. Then you would have to upgraed it almost continuosly (at least every couple of years) to keep it top of the line - after all the whole point is that...
