Mendis was brilliant with the bowl as was your other bowlers, then your batsmen batted beautifully well to get the score rather easily. It may of taken them a little longer than expected but a wins a win.

Good start to the ODI series, AOTF. Keep this going lads.

Mendis 3-42
Vaas 3-43
MOTM:Dilshan
Result:SL win by 23 runs
Reaction:
With a strong top and middle order reaction we were on course for 316 at 25 overs, but the loss of both Vandort and M.Jayawardene at that point made the middle order have to rebuild.
Vaas was useful hitting 21 from 11 balls late on in the innings.

The early dismissal of both Sehwag and Gambhir gave me the perfect start.
The middle three(Tendulkar and Dravid,Laxman to a smaller extent.) piled on the runs and pushed them into and easy victory position until Mendis ran throu Dravid,Laxman and Karthik.
Chandana's only wicket was Tendulkar drawn forward and stumped.

Overall,a close enough match.

You got the easy win in the end although it wasn't really easy. Mendis got the big wickets when they looked like winning and Chandana's only wicket was an important one. Your top order set your team up wonderfully with Dilshan(70*) and Vandort(66) being the main scorers. Overall a good start to the One Day series.

Good luck in this series, I expect an Indian comeback though. ;)

Malinga 3-59
Mendis 2-52
SL innings:288/8 overs:46.5
M.Jayawardene 74
Dilshan 69

Chawla 5-59
M.Patel 1-40
MOTM:Sehwag
Result:SL win by 2 wickets!
Reaction:
Malinga's dismissal of Gambhir was a blow and I almost had Sehwag for 4 but Dilshan dropped him. After that Tendulkar and Sehwag put India on top at the 26th over:1-187!
I'm really not sure how I reigned it in after that,I just put the bowlers on defensive and just changed where they bowl every over.
No other batsman really stood out.

Sangakkara being dismissed of the first ball trying to get off the mark with two and being run out,Vandort couldn't hold on like he did in the first test and Jayawardene and Silva had the job of pulling them out.
They did so successfully, but the only reason I triumphed was the late order hitting by:
Dilshan(69 from 51 balls),Vaas(15 from 6 balls),Chandana (44 from 50 balls) and Mendis!(33 not out from 19 balls!!!!)

I don't know how I do it,I'm expecting a slump of form any time now.
Because I always have had it that way in my own SL games!

Reaction: Wow. I did not expect a win here. So I'm happy that not only did I win the series, I actually won Two matches in a row! Looking for a clean sweep here.

Anyway, onto the match. This was really the first match I tried to use solid bowling tactics, bowling to weaknesses etc. And I had Moderate Success. De Silva again took out the top order. but other then him not a lot happened with the bowling. Mendis being an opposite of the last match taking 2/65.

Our run chase went nice and easy, with no real struggles yet again. Only person not getting in the runs was Sangakkara(7)

It was the second ODI, bladescape. ;)

Good wins for both of you there, and both have you have won the series now if I'm not mistaken. Hopefully you can get a whitewash and really give it to the Indians. Presentation is getting better every update and is looking very good. Keep this going.

Easy wins for you both. Great bowling AOTF, it set you up for a fairly comfortable chase. But that was simply great batting by Bladescape to get 288 in 46 overs! You guys are owning it with the Lankans!

Sri Lanka 202/4

Sangakkara 94
Jayawardene 45
Kumar 2/37
Kumble 2/44

Result: Sri Lanka win by 6 wickets.
MOTM:Sangakkara

Reaction: You Beauties! I think I'm finally getting the hang of this "Winning" Thing with that whitewash.

Match starting amazingly with de Silva continuing his amazing ODI Form by again taking top order wickets, then everyone chipped in with fairly cheap wickets Fernando 2/39 and the man on debut Lakshitha taking 2/67. Pathan, Tendulkar and Laxmen(43) really the only people to stand up. India playing 5 bowlers keeps haunting them.

The chase went great as expected, although I'm a bit gutted that Sangakkara and Jaya couldn't go on to get there 100 and 50 respectively. But hey, a win is a win. And Ill take it! Hopefully the Men can keep up this awesome form.

Don't you mean De Silva? ;)

Easy win, great work there. Can't believe you whitewashed India!

Cheers for that. Haha. I know, I'm finding it hard to believe myself. Pretty much every game de SILVA took out the top order and stopped top order runs which helped a lot. Then India Played 5 Bowlers which was a pretty big Fail. All I had to do was take a few early wickets and I generally had myself in a great position.

Yeah, there shortened batting really disadvantaged them. Another easy chase for you. De Silva sounds like a great ICC player. Next time I use Sri Lanka I'll be sure to use him.

Sanga and Jayawardene were unlucky not to get their milestones but at least you got the win. A whitewash against India! Awesome stuff, AOTF.

Keep this going guys.
