Mike Wedderburn: We can now cross live to Jamaica where current Pakistan cricket coach Jack Teague will be taking questions in a press conference after his side's exit from the World Cup at the Super 8 stage.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jack Teague: Before I answer your questions I have a statement I would like to read out. Despite our disappointing exit from the World Cup, I will not be leaving my post as head coach of the Pakistani national cricket team. I have taken it into much consideration, and I feel that the only way for me to make things right is to continue to move this Pakistan team forward. Since I have taken over we have moved in the right direction, and my next aim is to make Pakistan the number one Test team in the world. I will now take your questions.

Reporter: You've stated your disappointment at being knocked out of the World Cup, what had you hoped for coming into the tournament?

Jack Teague: Well like every other coach I hoped we could win it. It was always going to be tough, but with our form over the past year I always felt we could win if we performed to our best. Unfortunately we were far from that, and I think we maybe peaked in the Group Stages rather than the Super 8's. That's the way it goes sometimes and now we must look ahead to our next few tours as we have some very big games ahead of us.

Reporter: Which part of the team do you feel let you down?

Jack Teague: I don't think there was a particular area that cost us a chance at lifting the World Cup. I feel that everyone played poorly at some point, and everyone made some mistakes, but that's part of sport. It's a team game and we'll take responsibility as a team. We now have to pick ourselves up as a team and get ready for our next series. 'Team' is a crucial word in cricket, and if we can produce as a team I have no doubt we will make it to the top of world cricket.

Reporter: Who do you think will win the World Cup now that it has reached the Semi Finals?

Jack Teague: As much as the Pakistani fans will hate me for saying this, but I believe India have what it takes to lift the trophy. They look strong in all departments and they are in great form. England may be a dark horse, and of course you can't look past Australia to make a fight of things. All four of the sides could win it, and it will be an interesting three games.

Thank you, that's all the time I have for questions.

Great interview there..Sad that you couldnt win the World Cup with Pakistan but hoping you do achieve your aim of making Pakistan the number one test team..

Well congrats to Jaz for winning world cup again..:)

Yeah! Great news that you're gonna carry on, Jack. Might have to have some epic playing time at the weekend. ;)

Good interview, mate.

Cool, Pakistan beat India for the first time ever in a World Cup match, and it was the only match that really mattered, the final.

Yeah as Shan said, with James being Pakistan coach(who can raise Zimbabwe and Bangladesh standards), definitely no surprise that Pakistan won under a magnificent coach.. Sorry Trev.. You should have fixed this match :p :spy

hehe.. just kidding.. Good match overall... :thumbs

Simple win and an average performance but my openers were very good in both innings. Afridi should be back from injury in the next match as he's injured at the moment and we need him back. We won this game with many batsman sitting out with alot of youth in the team so it was a good match to watch from my perspective. Expecting to win the tour very easily, whitewashing them in the process. Will write more for matches that aren't friendlies.[/CENTER]

A good performance on the whole, although many of the newbies got starts but couldn't go on. Khan, the only player to have played under me before, made a very fine 130, despite having a strike rate of 38.45! Shah impressed with the bat, and hopefully he can turn into an all-rounder. Every bowler got a wicket in each innings, which is encouraging. Nazir was superb, and Akbar and Masood looked dangerous as well. Plenty of selection problems for the first test.

Easy win for you Jaz and a good hit out for you Treva.

Jaz: Good to see Tariq in the runs with a ton and 3 of your bowlers got good work outs taking 4 wickets which is valuable. I can't see you losing to Zimbabwe but I'm sure you would have liked to score more then just 275.

Treva: Nice hit out there with Nazir performing with the ball. Hopefully he goes on to destroy Zimbabwe for you. Good to hear every bowler got a wicket in each innings and always nice to have a batsmen get a ton. Shame no one else backed Khan up though.

Great writing and presentation guys! kiu!

Quality start to the season; albeit against easy opposition. Khan and Yousuf may of both scored double hundreds, but only one other person managed to score over 19! Definitely a two man batting effort. Anjum and Kaneria then destryoed the Zimbabwe batting attack quite effortless with Asif being the other bowler to be quite effective. Simple victory, so not much to write about.

An absolute joke of a bowling performance. You may say I batted way too long, but to be honest we should not be letting Zimbabwe make 452/9, especially when we had plenty of time to bowl them out. Shah bowled his heart out, but nobody else could do the same. Garwe faced 102 balls on the last day, scoring just 24, and in turn probably saved them the game. Now we move onto the 2nd Test Match which is a must win if we want to save ourselves the embarrassment of being unable to beat arguably the worst test team in the world.

LOL @ jazz. Only one other person scoring over 19 when two got doubles. Still an easy win though.

Hard luck Treva, only one wicket off victory. Might see a few bowling changes coming up next match?

Great to see this back.

Yep,I'll agree with Age,good to see our inspiration back!:p

Just kidding!;)
Jaz,honestly, what did your other batsman do?
Probably got drunk because how long Khan and Yousuf batted!:p
