Planet Cricket XI v Namibia 1st Test

Mark Nicholas: Hello Everyone and welcome to 9's coverage of this long awaited tour. we preivously brought to you the zimbabwe tour but it was cut short. now we are back and so is the much anticipated tour. 1st Match is Planet Cricket XI taking on Namibia in a one test match and one odi series. Lets Take a Look at the teams.

MN: Namibia has a very experienced side compared to PCXI. But their inexperience in the main game may let them down here. Now its over to Tony Greig With the toss.

Tony Greig: Thank you mark. i have with me both captains and itll be D Kurtz of Namibia to call.....

Heads is the call. And heads it is. D Kurtz what is your team going to do first.

D Kurtz: We'll bat first.

TG: How well has your team prepared for this long awaited match?

DK: the team has prepared very well. we have been working on our batting and our bowling very hard to perfect them in every aspect.

TG: Brendan, Disappointing toss to lose and how has your team shaped up for this match?

BG: Yeah it was we would have liked to bat first. it seems a very fast and hard track so there should be plenty of runs. the team has prepared very well. they all passed expectations greatly and hopefully we come away with the win

Thank You Brendan. yes quite right there about the pitch. its hard. its fast/ the sun is shining. theres a cool atmsphere about batsmans paradise. should be shaping up to be a cracking match.Back to you Mark.

Thanks Tony. so there you have it Namibia have one the toss and elected to bat first. Now the only real issue with this tour is that PCXI only have 12 players so they are going to have to be very careful. We'll touch on that a bit later but join us after the break where the players and umpires should be out on the field for the start of the days play.
