It seems there are mixed feelings from everyone here. For my money, that gameplay footage was depressing. While the graphics are good, the bowler's action is laughably unrealistic. A lazy 'windmill' style action. Ponting's awkward stance does not look like a professional batsman. Could we be forgiven for thinking that this is just a mildly more slick version of AC09?

I've just bought a playstation but despite that, I will not be wasting money on this game until other evidence shows that it will be worth it. In all seriousness, EA Cricket 05 (let alone 07) has more realistic gameplay. Roll on, MLB.

Graphics look better than AC 09, and the shots look better. The rest was crap mind you.

While it was nice to have a different stance, Ponting looked like a 6 foot tall man holding a bat 3 sizes too small for him, totally insane.

Forget MLB: The Show, guys, we all know we will never get a similar cricket game. Just forget it.

I guess I will never be satisfied by any cricket game. Cricket 04 and BLC 99 are all we'll get in terms of decent gameplay.

I can understand a casual cricketer liking this series, but hardcore cricket fans liking a game with such unrealistic gameplay is just insane.

I think these guys might be trying to follow in the footsteps of all the popular EA and 2K Sports franchises, by releasing a game every year. They also look to be trying to milk as much money out of the market as possible while they are the only serious cricket devlopers, but that isn't the way to go. Games like FIFA, PES, Madden, NHL and NBA get yearly releases, but they are all excellent and complete games. This cricket franchise just isn't close. The problem with releasing a game each year is only a few things can be enhanced, e.g. a few new modes, better graphics, better faces and models and maybe one or two gameplay enhancements, as the game needs to be polished before it's yealy release. Such a thing isn't good enough for this franchise, this needs to be worked on for 2 years ATLEAST so that most of the errors are fixed. If we saw an IC2012 in two years with no IC 2011, you can expect graphics, modes, presentation and most importantly gameplay to be fixed in a way.

This is what I hope, as there is no other professional cricket game coming out for atleast 1-2 years from now.

Really looking forward to this game, as I liked AC09 despite all its faults.
But I have to say Broad's action is ridiculous, he's looking up at the sky when he delivers the ball, and looks like his spine will snap from bowling sideways, he bowls nothing like that, and he's supposed to be the Star on the cover of the game.

Just hope they've concentrated on gameplay rather than bowling actions.

What makes you think, they concentrated on bowling action? There is nothing great about bowling actions. They look exactly the same as last time. I guess they have only added patches, action cam, power stick and a few more animations like appeals and thats all.

The run-up looks a lot more realistic this time (AC09 had a more robotic type)

The shots played by the batsmen are amazingly smooth and realistic!

Edges look a lot more polished

Very much improved character models!

Batsman's reaction after getting his 50 isn't impressive!

Bowler's appeal lacking spirit! (it could the like the Brett lee style, running and appealing, and for spinners, half-sitting and appealing)...

You know what amigo, its not gonna happen . I guess Codies haven't added much value into the game at all (compared to the BETA 2 version) .

The more I look at the GFX & still half baked gameplay & animations all i can say to myself is "When the time comes i can do all this and more all by myself on AC09" .

Codies better pick their game up or else I'm staying away from IC 2010.

People are making conclusions about the in-game Animations not about the gameplay or the camera work. You know animations for a game are also very important as they add that final touch of realism that a cricket buff needs.

Alright, it wasn't "people", just one person. Still, I don't see how you can make that conclusion if you have no idea what the gameplay is like.

I may be seeing things but it seems like they've done some work on seam direction (animation wise) as I think I saw it pointing at different angles. Good to see that's it's not scrambled, at least.

Bowling animations HAVE improved a lot over A09's. They bend their head and throw the the rest of their body down too this time, its not perfect but look at A09 and actions in this trailer side by side and see the difference.

Well for one thing the length is different. All depends on how AI fields and plays to situations and whether you can just score six after six after six online.................

The bat to ball sound still sounds crap, there's still that stupid 'whoosh' sound when the bowler delivers the ball, instead of the sound of his delivery stride, the graphics look almost exactly the same as well. Still, it will have more content - which makes AC09 look more and more like what it really was - an Ashes cash in.

Exactly. The worst thing is that Codemasters doesnt even try to disguise how blatantly this is exactly the same as Ashes 09. Seriously, the graphics arent that great - everything is too shiny even the clothing, the bats, the skin everything has the same tone and very little textural differentiation.

The bowling actions are still the same as in BLC2005 which in itself is freekin unbelievable and the animations look as shoddy as in Ashes 09. IMO the animations were better in BLC'99 and thats shocking.

Can honestly say after seeing this I dont care that I wont be able to play it on PC, even if I had a console I wouldnt spend a dime on this. Yet its funny how many console users will - had this been a proper gaming studio like Blizzard they would have simply released a patch for free, not Codies though....nope you have to basically pay double to get your hands on Ashes 09 v2,

Yea, its better we wait for the final game or atleast a hands-on or a gameplay trailer, before we speak about the gameplay...
