1st Ashes Test Match - Reduced Skills. Full Playtest.

That game involved cloudy conditions, I've got sunny skies all day for my new one, so lets see if I can get a nick again

Bell (54) removed by Hazlewood before Root (101) sparkles to fine century, before Buttler (44*) and Ali (21*) put on 50 to draw England close to 1st Test victory.

Tea Day 4

England 243-6

Brilliant session, battle between bat and ball edges going for 4 and dropped catches and some not carrying. Could have so easily been a different story but luck has been on my side and I reckon I can win this after finishing with a first innings deficit.

Playing out the full game does really make you appreciate how good this game is.

Think I had fallen into the trap of bowling 30 then restarting over and over before this match.

Wealey you must be pumped at the moment.

In my match I've just had a big nick to point directly after shining the ball twice after forgetting for a few overs, so that's definitely a factor, it's sunny as well.

Haha was a quality match really satisfying! I never at any point thought it was too easy and as the drops and edges show I could have easily lost that.

Sounds like its looking a promising experience for you as well?

Yeah, I've got the range of dismissals going and the cricket feels great.. The only thing left to sort is that the teams aren't identical. I don't want Australia performing like Kenya for example, and those subtle tweaks are what I'll look at now. As well as if we can get the English climate edited into other stadiums for more edges.

I also want to see how this translates to the one day game

I must say, this thread and the one that sparked it (Making bowling more enjoyable, etc.) has really increased my interest in the game. I stopped playing a while ago for the exact complaints which brought this testing about. Unfortunately I am away on extended business and have been for the last couple months, without my PS and without DBC. Luckily I will be back home within a month and am really looking forward to playing with these changes and helping out with the testing. Unfortunately, I think we are past the point of getting a fix for these problems on any patches for DBC14 but it will certainly have an impact on the next iteration. I know BA has been following these threads and MattW specifically. However, the game with these tweaks looks leaps and bounds above where it was when I quit playing. Thank you to all who have been working diligently, you are making the game enjoyable again. Even for a white American like myself :usa:;)

What was the wicket?

Same as yours but I'm yet to bowl in cloudy conditions so that could be a factor...[DOUBLEPOST=1437755963][/DOUBLEPOST]Just had a cut shot on a yorker that went over third man for six... Love that shot...

I meant what was the dismissal ha. I never had one of those shots but i played with a third man

The dismissal was a good one, Cook playing a forward defence but Narine spun it enough off the pad and bowled.

Yea I should probably get a third man...

Zimbabwe 73/1 (Dismissal was Sibanda prodding forward to Lyon and getting caught behind off the edge.) Sunny weather.

EDIT - 95/2 (Masakadza gone, carbon copy of the first dismissal)
