Tom Nightingale was a mainstay of the Guernsey innings with a classy 89 - a remarkable knock on a pitch where most Guernsey batters found it incredibly difficult to score.
Bangladesh did well to keep Guernsey's score to a bare minimum in spite of Tom Nightingale's knock. Nirupom Debnath stood out the most with figures of 2/22 in 10.0 overs.

Brilliant take by Himel Kutub to get rid of Tom Nightingale - Guernsey lose a big wicket in the 39th-over as the partnership between the Nightingale brothers comes to a premature end. Tom Nightingale misses out on what would've been a well-earned hundred by 11 runs.

Himel Kutub has certainly carried on from where Azbin Sattar Drubo left - a phenomenal counterattacking knock, just when his team needed it the most. The game is far from over for either side, but a knock like this is sure to raise Bangladesh's expectations and Guernsey's worries.

Guernsey's bowlers stepped up in sensational manner to defend a substandard 229 against Bangladesh to progress to the next round.

Alistair Davis was the pick of the bowlers for Guernsey with 4 scalps for 22 runs, but it was most certainly Harrison Willis who had the larger impact with his dismissals of Azbin Sattar Drubo and Himel Kutub at crucial moments in the game, even if his figures on the bowling card aren't reflective of it. Bangladesh will be mighty disappointed with their run-chase, especially after having Guernsey by the ropes. A lot of pondering to do after this, and they'll have plenty of time to do so on the plane ride back home.

Code:
GUERNSEY 228/6 50.0 overs
BANGLADESH 166 39.4 overs

Guernsey won by 62 runs

Man of the match: Tom Nightingale (Guernsey)
