A 90 on debut to Victorian Brad Hodge has secured Australias first win for the tour as they won by 5 wickets. Set a total of 198 to win they started shakily losing a wicket without scoring and after a partnership of 72 between Ponting and Gilchrist they suddenly lost 2/7 to take them to 3/79. But a 122 run partnership between Hodge and Micheal Bevan wrapped up the win.
