*Broadcast returns to studio after end of day's play*
Dean-Well Geoffrey it was a good day for the aussies, wasn't it?
Geoffrey-Yes Dean it definetely was a good day for the aussies, but I think they will be a little disappointed, losing so many wickets in the last few overs of the day.
Dean-And what do you think of Ponting so far?
Geoffrey-Well Ponting started of slowly and he reached his 100 of exactly 200 balls. But after the wickets started falling around him,he played the big shots, and they worked, too. So far it has been a brialliant innings by him.He paced his innings perfectly, accelerated at the right time, and knew when to defend. He should now look to play the rest of the aussie innings.
Dean-And what do you think of the nz bowlers?
Geoffrey-Well Martin did not bowl all that well, but Tuffey, who took Langer's wicket early, really maintained the pressure on Hayden and Ponting.I don't know why Butler got just 4 overs to bowl. And Vettori did bowl well, yes, but this time round, the aussies knew how to play him.Oram bowled very well, taking 1 wicket, but the pick of the bowlers was Styris. He took 3 wickets, and bowled very economically.Fleming should depend on him and Oram to get the wickets tomorrow.
Dean-Thanks for your comments Geoffrey.Well Folks, that is the end of today's coverage,so Good Bye and tune in tomorrow for what is sure to be a cracking day.
