Geez earn a baggy green. When has that happened. Too many instances of great form being over looked.

Victorian Twin Kings secure Victory

Two Victorian centurys have sealed a massive win for Australia in their first 4 day tour match in England for 2005. Coming off a team score of 224 in the first knock, including 121 to Elliott, Australia cleaned up Gloucstishire for 117 in their first. They were then looking for a good lead and found support from 72 to Elliott who all but secured a test spot. But it was too be Brad Hodge who would take the spotlight with a Century on Debut for Australia coming off 2 half centuries in the One Day Series. With a lead of 395 runs Glouctishire were never a chance, finally being bowled out for 132, a loss of 263 runs.

Australia 224 and 288
defeated
Gloucstishire 117 and 132

Australia top scores:
Elliott 121 and 72
Hodge 3 and 105
Ponting 50 and 7
