Good that the Indian media and fans are slowly starting to talk about Rahul Dravid's utility as a coach in T20I format. Memes are coming out about how Hardik Pandya - Ashish Nehra should be the new T20I captain-coach. Though thats a silly perspective (Nehra cant be made coach just like that, based on one IPL win where he wasnt even main coach), its good that people are starting to put Dravid accountable. Till now, Dravid was always put on that "holier than thou" pedestal. Its time he's judged for the team's performances.

His annoying backing of KL Rahul is there for all to see. Also his comment yesterday about Indian player participation in overseas leagues, was archiac. Test cricket is good and all, but its not the direction the world is moving towards. T20 format is already the mainstream and T20 World Cups will keep gaining momentum and importance as years go by. It is important that Indian players are allowed to play other leagues. If that means they dont play much domestic cricket and if India's feeder line for tests gets compromised, so be it! People give importance to championships if they are played within a short period of time (2 months). Test championships and ODI Super League will never match the hype of a World Cup / Champions Trophy.
I have an interesting take in this. I'd still be voting against NOC and would like to even go back a decade. Since IPL is not going anywhere, We don't need foreign leagues. Players are already getting injured far too often. We just need proper selection on Tours. And right mindset at the helm. Dada had John wright, Dhoni had Kirsten, Kumble, Virat had Ravi.. My point is coach has to be visionary and captain have to be on same boat. I am also against different coaches Across formats. We may have two different captains in Red ball and White ball cricket and give them time and consistent eleven. Now this team has fragile mindset that became predictability in modern day cricket.

I also think the current political situation within BCCI somewhat responsible to this. First we need stability.. Only then we can build on.. Else we're not far away form being PCB and BCB, let alone going West Indies way, Mr. Dravid!
