2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - Australia

Else we're not far away form being PCB and BCB, let alone going West Indies way, Mr. Dravid!
A bit far fetched bro! India will continue to have more clout for years to come unless they somehow give up cricket.

Part of me still believes that T20 is just another format. One wherein the franchisees would thrive. For countries the ultimate goal still has to be ODI CWC.

I tend to agree with Shastri that we need to rid the world of T20i and just maintain it for World T20s.

I hope it reaches a stage where it resembles a football league system. It provides greater scope and exposure for the sport of "cricket" in various regions of the globe. Not as long as a football season, but around six months is enough. This is also due to the influence of the weather on cricket, while football is less impacted by the weather.

Because honestly, bilaterals are meaningless and boring even though they brought the points-based system recently.

I've got a bad feeling that Stokes will get a wicket if he bowls the first over. We always give away a wicket to a "surprise" bowler.

I feel the openers are going to revert to their slow approach again. Against NZ, they did come out all guns blazing, but fear it was simply a flash in the pan effort. Expect either of Babar/Rizwan to fail.

Whatever the outcome, Pakistan need to rethink their T20 strategy. Had it not been for the SA loss v Netherlands the PCB would have instituted a committee to look into this. Perhaps they still need to. Else, they are going to turn up in future editions with an outdated template( similar to India)

Agree! Have always felt that tours should have the provision of a triangular with the 3rd team being an Associate Nation.

However, for proliferation of the game, it is essential to avoid T20i until World cups and let the franchisees take over. This would happen once the US league shapes up/someone powerful buys a stake therein (Ambani,Bezos, etc)

Well the WBBL match is playing at the Junction Oval which isn't far from the MCG. Looking at the forecast it doesn't seem as dire today as it was.
Storms are building in the south west. Probably, more will probably develop in central melbourne in the next few hours, as it normally does. I think the good news is that there will be storms about but no sustained rain - hopefully.

Edit: My arrow skills are crap, Junction Oval is a tad further down from the arrow lol

2 WBBL matches are completed, which played in Melbourne today...

Who are you all rooting for today?

England's consistency or Pakistan as a dark horse?
