Steyn was great during the T20 WC, and I have admittedly not heard much of Watson. But what I have heard of him hasn't made me wanna jam a metal rod in my ears, unlike the Rajas and Sanju Manjus of the world. Even DK, who's been doing commentary only for a few years is much more digestible than them two specifically (low bar, but still).

While Babar's mindset as a captain is quite defensive, Pakistan must ask questions of their visiting coach, His Mickyness Arthur as well.

Pakistan’s whole mentality is 90’s-esque. Survive the first 10 overs, don’t give them any wickets against the new ball and happily accept 45/1 (other teams like India are being proactive and are getting 70+ ish). We hit our first six in the powerplay today – in our 5th game (took more than 44 overs to hit one)

Accumulate in the middle and don’t lose wickets till the 30th over – Babar can get a nice easy fifty ish and knock around the ball. Mohammad Nabi (arguably a part time spinner) went for only 31 in his 10 overs!

Then last 10 overs expect Iftikhar to hit 100 and get to 260/270 and try and defend that.

No planning with the bowling. No method to attack with the right bowlers. Your spinners aren’t disciplined at all and constantly going short or wide. If this was any other side barring Afghanistan – we would have already the lost the game by now.
