Will find and replace Pakistan with Afghanistan if they lose today.

Afghanistan needs a little bit of nurturing. Glad they found good mentors over the last few years in Klusener, Trott and Ajay Jadeja.

Currently,they remind me of a 1994/5 version of Sri Lanka. Good, gritty players in their lineup. Not entirely able to challenge good lineups, but getting there. A bit more hand holding and they will be there.

Why would you not bring Afridi and take a wicket? WHy bring in Rauf who is leaking runs. There will be nothing for Afridi to save if he comes so late

Exactly my point! Conversely,why cant Afridi himself demand to bowl? They just had a pretty big huddle, didn't they?

See, I've been supportive of Bangladesh this World Cup. Infact, I did call them out as the 4th semi finalist. I still believe that a couple of good games and they will be the 4th team.

But coming to their banning, lets discuss that elsewhere

Inzi (the chief selector) said the doesn’t pay that much attention to the statisticians’ data. Your chief selector picks based on vibes and gut feeling!!

We wasted the preparation time by trying out Faheem Ashraf! Knowing he doesn’t have anything to prove - had a mediocre PSL and an even worse domestic season but Inzi wanted an Abdul Razzaq-esque player for some reason.

We wasted all the preparation playing the same 3 bowlers in every game (Shaheen, Rauf and Naseem), overworked them and arguably led to the injury of Naseem. And now you don’t have a replacement and have to pick Hasan – simply because he is the only one left.

Shadab has been struggling for more than a year – and you don’t even try out Abrar at ODI level but randomly bring him in to the ODI set up. You ignore the players that are playing in the Asia Cup (that you won btw)

You need a top-down change but that’s not going to happen.

I mean I get we want close finishes but those are more possible in shorter version of the game. With ODI's the chances are way too less of having a close finish. There is just wayyyy to much time for both teams. This is the reason we have had no close games. All games have had one or two moments and everyone has reacted and recovered well.
