Not going to pretend I care much for the result of today’s match. Both SL and Bangladesh have been crap this tournament and nothing exciting to expect here for a neutral fan.

Shakib Al Hasan showing his character and true colours. Sport doesn't need such losers.

Bangladesh now wants Tome-out wicket... Wow...

If I was Sri Lanka Captain today, I will definitely made Sakib and Bangladesh life hell today...

If it is within the rules, Shakib al Hasan has every right to appeal. The fact that Matthews has been given out means that he was guilty of his timing. We cannot have ignorant fools playing cricket and later claiming for this to fall against the 'Spirit of Cricket'

Timed out dismissal? This WC has seen it all.

You guys are saying it as if everyone at the ICC, including the on field umpires are against a Lankan win. If it is in the rules of the game, period!

Apparently , Angelo walked out at a leisurely pace. He took his own sweet time and got a wrong helmet- this is school boy stuff! Also, if you were facing Shakib, you could very well have faced him without the helmet. Nothing against Bangladesh for that appeal. Spot on and a good decision here!

Well I kinda have to agree with you on this one. But still the issue is that you can't expect an athlete maintain a perfect conduct all the time, especially in this case where his helmet strap broke, and he noticed only when he appeared on the crease. Maybe he should have noticed, but it's still pretty conceited to appeal in such a situation. But then again it's Shakib. I guess we have one achievement in this WC now.

Only a controversy like this makes this match interesting

Question is. will the Sri Lankan government now appoint an inquiry commission to probe this episode.

Nothing against the appeal.
Now SL should be as zealous as they can be, appeal for timed out, handled the ball, everything. And try to Mankad everyone
