Well my predictions seem to have opened a can of worms. Indeed, many of you were surprised to Bangladesh there.

My rationale being that they have a core attacking top order and they will be getting a bit of home support in Kolkata. Plus the other grounds they are playing at, those conditions might just be in their favour. If Bangladesh get a few things right against teams like India, Pak, Aus they will definitely make it.

South Africa - I believe have the most stable batting arsenal, other than England. Their bowling looks threatening enough as well. For me, they are the dark horses in this year's CWC.

India- I don't think we have a core in either batting or bowling. There's a good chance will be drafting injury returns into the final squad and this will come back to bite us.

Australia -surprise omission for sure. Given their track record, cannot be discounted in a World Cup, but honestly the side lacks a big match winner. Yes, they have Marsh, Cummins, Carey, but then again nowhere as threatening as they used to be.

Anyhow, I'll again update my predictions once the Asia Cup gets done.

Looks interesting - a few negative environments for Pakistan but if you can't adapt and defeat the opposition, you only have yourself to blame.

Will be interesting to watch the Asia Cup coming up to see how these sides are stacking up! Definitely will give a good idea about Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Australia have Smith, Warner and a bowler who was the leading wicket taker in two different World Cups. I think they’re fine on the match winner scale.

The matches against the two strongest opponents, Australia and England, are at very favourable venues with slow pitches.

The Lucknow pitch is being relaid apparently so it may be different come WC time.

i honestly can't see New Zealand making the semis this time without Kane. Bangladesh are in a good position since they have really good spinners and their batters play spin well. India will have home track advantage. A lot of England regulars (Root, Bairstow, Archer) haven't played much ODIs in last two years. They could be rusty coming into the tournament but they will be playing 7 ODIs before the first game. Pakistan is well Pakistan. South Africa is also pretty good but I just don't trust them not choking at any stage.

Bangladesh doesn't have the temperament to win 5 games out of 9 so I don't think they will make it.

My top-4: :ind: India, :aus: Australia, :eng: England, :pak: Pakistan (not in this order)

India to lose in semis again.

You read it here first.

Bookmark it , Screenshot it , take a printout of it or do whatever you want.

:D
That's why I don't wanna watch the semis live I'd rather watch the finals supporting a 3rd country :D

I don't even expect them to reach Semis.

I had a dream yesterday about us playing South Africa in the final. Ofcourse, we lost- a totally one sided affair with India bowled out for 161 and South Africa chasing 165/3 in about 31.2 overs.

Hoping for this to be true, would love for a new country to lift the World Cup :Cheersmate:
