It is among the world's "most viewed" sports events, and is considered a flagship international cricket tournament.
2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be the ninth edition of the tournament, and the first played in the United States.
Alongside the United States, the West Indies will co-host the tournament which is scheduled to run from June 1 to June 29, 2024.
West Indies will play hosts to the Men's T20 World Cup for the second time in their history, having previously hosted the 2010 edition.
Much like the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 (as it was called back then), the final will be played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
The tournament will be contested by a record 24 teams, an expansion from the 16 teams that took part in the previous edition.
England will enter the tournament as the defending champions, having defeated Pakistan in the final of the 2022 tournament.
