Just because I don't belong to your club or gang doesn't mean you can insult. Ofcourse you are an important and integral part of this community and very much respected and respect deserving member. But you cannot just disregard others like this. And when did this forum become a place where there is no fun? Why are you comparing fun with value? Both have their own place. It might have been a lame joke but just because you have such a position here doesn't mean you can just go like this and insult someone.

Just because it's me who is posting or replace me with someone else who is new or not an exclusive member of your inside club or whatever small compact circle on this forum you have got, you can post this? Had it been someone from the closed knit circle of yours, you wouldn't have posted that post even if the joke would have been as lame and as invaluable.

What you perceive as sarcasm might be something else publically. You might had been very friendly and as nonchalant about it. But it might not be the same from a third person POV.

Funny that I was been told this exact thing above by few people on this very forum. I took it constructively and worked over it. And it actually ended benefitting me for the good. But I guess the these advices and things from the same people work out differently for different people.

Well this did not go to plan did it
Think if we have to a live auction, Planet Cricket isn't a very friendly forum for it and plus we will have to sell players one by one. Too many bids on different players just adds confusion.
My take on what to do next - Maybe a closed auction similiar to the one Pinch Hitter does for his leagues or if everyone is active just arrange and time and sell one player at a time. 2nd option is a bit risky though, since all teams cannot be here
