Start Date & Deadlines

- As per request from Till Valhalla, Player Pools have been made public to allow members to strategize two whole days before the start of the Mega Auction.
- Mega Auctions will start at 12:00 PM GMT (5:30 PM IST) on the 5th of April, this TUESDAY
- It is not mandatory to bid in any round, if you wish to pull out of a particular round, please say so. It will save us some time.
- If you wish to not increase any of your bids on one or multiple players and end your round, please say you're backing out, that will also save us some time.

General Rules

- Each franchise was given a Salary Purse of ₹100 crore (INR) to spend at the Mega Auction.
- However, all teams were deducted a set amount from their ₹100c Salary Purse for player retentions and signings.
- Each team needs to have a minimum of 18 players in their main squad after the completion of the Mega Auction, a maximum of 7 of which can be overseas players.
- Since there will be injuries, a team can sign up to 5 players for a 'injury reserves squad'. It's not mandatory, but you can if you wish to.

Players from the injury reserves can be substituted into the main squad should someone go down to injury.​

- If you blow your budget and are unable to bid the base price of the lowest category player (₹20 lacs) to complete your squad, your bid(s) will be rejected.
* Deletion or alteration of bids will result in a ₹10 lac penalty for first offense, ₹50 lac penalty for second offense and ₹1 crore + ejection from that round for third offense.

Squad Rules

- You need to have a minimum of 18 players - that will be your main squad
- You need to have a minimum of 2 recognized wicket-keepers in your main squad
- You can have a maximum of 7 overseas in your main squad
- You are allowed up to five extra players as

injury reserves
- You are allowed one extra overseas player in your

injury reserves

Bidding Rules

- Bidding Rounds will happen in Pools. Each Pool will consist of 12 players and any franchise can bet on up to 7 players from a single round.
- Bidding increments may happen in multiples ₹10 lacs until a bid reaches ₹2 crore. ₹25 lacs until a bid reaches ₹5 crores and ₹50 lacs after a player's value exceeds ₹5 cores.

₹10 lacs is one decimal to a crore: ₹1.1 crore is an acceptable bid but ₹1.01 crore is not.​

- Each bid will automatically 'expire' 1 hour after it's begun - if it isn't topped by another bid, the player is sold
- A player is sold if a) all teams except the leading bidder back out, or b) one hour has passed since the leading (last) bid

Picking Unlisted Players

- Local Pools largely consist of players from Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021/22, Indian Premier League 2022 and currently active ODI (capped) players for India.
- International Pools largely consist of popular franchise players, international ODI mainstays and players from ICC's ODI Rankings.
- If you wish to choose a player not in any of the Pools (say, Darren Stevens), let me know privately.
- If no one else wants your selected player, you can unanimously have them at the end of the Mega Auctions at their base price.
- If there are clashes, those players can be individually bid on between those managers at the end of the Mega Auctions.
- If there were more glaring omissions (say, AB de Villiers if he were still active) then let me know, I will readjust the pools.

To be honest, I would like a 12 hour window, cover's all timelines. Gives a relief to owners who might have other commitments.
