England's Tour Of The World

sdcricket.jpg

English Cricket has been down in the dumps for far too long, and in a desperate attempt to get back to the top, they have announced a rigorous schedule of constant cricket for the forseeable future. With top players like Strauss, Pietersen, Anderson and Collingwood, and emerging superstars like Broad and Morgan, the next few tours will test these players to the maximum.
Touring the likes of Australia, India and South Africa in succession will be hard, and with World Cups being added here and there, the ECB's latest plan for global cricketing domination is turning into a mouthwatering prospect.

First Off, they will welcome India who are touring ahead of the Pro40 World Cup

So, the ECB have announced their plan for Global Domination, can they do it, and how will the newbie teams perform on the true global platform.

England Announce Preliminary Test Squad

England have announced a preliminary squad for the upcoming Test Series against India.

Andrew Strauss has been named as Captain, and Paul Collingwood has been trusted with the role of Vice-Captain.

The usuals from the squad are in there, Anderson, Pietersen, Prior, Swann, Broad and Cook remain in the squad.

Ashes hero Jonathan Trott is also kept in the squad, but will face competition from a couple of new additions to the squad for his batting spot.

Surprise comebacks for Geraint Jones and Rob Key, who have both played outstandingly in the County Championship for the last few years, and no one will say that they don't deserve a comeback.

New inclusions in the Test squad for Samit Patel, Joe Denly, Eoin Morgan and Luke Wright. All 4 of those have had superb performances for the One-Day side, and will have to work hard to step up to the intense quality of the longer version of the game.

Shaun Udal, Graham Onions and Amjad Khan are also in the squad.

Here is the Preliminary Test Squad for the upcoming series against India, who land at Heathrow later today.

Andrew Strauss (C)
Alaister Cook
Ian Bell
Paul Collingwood (VC)
Kevin Pietersen
Shaun Udal
Samit Patel
Graham Onions
Amjad Khan
Chris Tremlett
Joe Denly
Robert Key
Matt Prior
Jonathan Trott
Luke Wright
Stuart Broad
Graeme Swann
James Anderson
Geraint Jones
Eoin Morgan

We'll hope you'll join us when we announce the Indian squad.
