^ But 40 tests basically means 80 innings which is way too high . On the other hand if its 30 tests its just 60 innings which is almost near to no of ODIs played

Yeah I'd also say that 40 tests are way too much and ODI's are less, by the fact I can't play Sree, Ishant etc.

The rules are fine, but you shouldn't follow them blindly. Just use common sense in some cases, and take each player on their own merits.

agree with this, take current form into consideration aswell because someone like Mohammad Aamer shouldn't be playing for Pakistan A because he's a regular international. (before the match fixing :sarcasm). So all the players who you think shouldn't be playing for a side should be on 'International Duty' if they are eligible but shouldn't really be.

After thinking a lot, I've decided to reduce the Test eligibility to 30 matches but the OD one will remain the same.

The fixtures will be released after the banner is done.
And I'd be making only OD eligible players list only now, because we have only 50 overs in the starting days of the season.

I like the new rule changes, it will be interesting to see if any superstar players who have cemented their spots in their International teams are available. Of course in any unusual cases common sense would have to come into it.
