Well, for the T20 part, the sim is decent. Even then a lot depends on how wisely you set the players stats/abilities, ground stats, bowlers stats etc.
Usually I keep the batting skill below 80 most of the time so you can just keep it just around 80-82 but don't do it more than that.
And for bowling there is a bug, in which the non-bowling players bowl the last overs of the innings. So to prevent that I usually set the bowling of all non-bowlers to 0+does not bowl.
Don't ever try to use it for the 50-overs format if you are not actually good in deciding the stats.
