Well if I was Ross I would want every review of AC13 to include the words "but there is an alternative".

Couldn't agree more. A DBC14 reference along with link to the recent play-session would go a long way in informing the folks they have a feasible and a much better option to AC13.

I know Ross isn't a fan of giving freebies and kissing a$$ of reviewers. But surely, it might be a good idea to inform some of the majors about the awfulness of AC13 and that there is an alternative in DB14.

In saying that, the marketing campaign isn't in full swing yet for DB14... so hopefully it will become more known soon for the general public.

Yeah I have done that by replying Sportra page to the ashes review Tweet saying to follow DBC14...

I think everyone in the PC forum must start spreading the game to people who play games or are looking for a new sports game to play..thumbs

I think you are right, if we want DBC14 to be successful then we really have to be mindful that word of mouth is powerful and will certainly add to the sustainability of the franchise. Considering everyone was just burnt by the worst game this year, I think now is a great time to start mentioning the alternative game

To use a marketing phrase, start a grassroots campaign to make sure people are aware of DB14 and the potential it has shown. Plus, just how awful AC13 is (if that even comes up due to the fact it's nowhere to be seen really).


ADDITION: That's what a lot of Indie games. Just look at how Minecraft, Dayz etc started and now look at them. Different circumstances of course, but as BRAB said, 'Word of Mouth'
