That's seam movement (i.e., movement or deviation off the pitch), not swing. I've already said Seam movement is dependent on the pitch and the amount of grass.

Yup. Then we are on the same page. Except for the idea that overcast conditions have a direct and substantial amount of effect on swing.

Hopefully that's part of pitch deterioration where you get variable bounce and steep turn from the rough as the match goes on. The unpredictability can be based on the extent you want the pitch to deteriorate over time.

I remember reading from the skills description on Academy where Accuracy was described as the ability to hit the right areas and rough patches/cracks in the pitch.

hi ross...the game crashes when i press rs click and rs up to play advance defence shot...please check and fix in the coming updates....helicopter inclusion is good but the batsmen looks in a weak position with his footwork to smash it hard...the lift of the bat should come from the ground with good speed...try considering these...thanks

yup the best example for that would be to see the ongoing south africa vs new zealand test
lot of seam movement from the pitch going on
but not much in the air
nd the pitch has a greenish tinge to it

ya currently you cannot hit the ball for a six with helicopter shot whereas this shot is used by dhoni only for hitting sixes and nothing else

Yes...In below video we can see dhoni and cutting...speed of the bat is fast and they stand still...where in DBC17...batsmen going towards left for right hander....i just want you guys to make it a powerful stroke

I hope it stays in the game as a useless shot which serves no purpose other than to get you out when you try to showboat with it.

Why the hate? If a particular shot, can get a few kids excited and help sell the game more, without compromising game-play and all the great designs Big-ant has put in, the I would say go for it.

On a side note, I do agree that in-game it should be a difficult shot to play i.e it should not go for SIX every time you play it. Maybe a narrower timing window?

It's a fine line for me as to whether this is in some way compromising and damaging for the gameplay depending on how it's implemented/tweaked.

If as I mentioned, it's only really there for showboating, offers no advantages over conventional shots with more likelihood of being dismissed then fair enough, I don't mind it being there because I'll just ignore that it exists.
If under any circumstance to any delivery it offers an advantage to play a helicopter shot than the conventional equivalent, be that in power/timing or whatever, it's interfering with the gameplay in a way that I don't like.

And really do you think the game would sell substantially more because of the inclusion of this shot? I can't see that being more than a negligible factor in the sales figures and Big Ant's financial success with the game. Also just in general I don't think the type of people who were crying out for the helicopter shot to be added as a priority are the best ones to be listening to for proper feedback and suggestions for making a good cricket game. If they were we'd probably have the pitch markers back in and it would play like Cricket 07.

I see the helicopter shot being there as more of a meme/joke by Big Ant than an actual worthwhile addition to the game.

I'd like to see a paddle sweep animation if possible. Maybe pressing LB-RB together? Certainly more players use this shot than the helicopter shot.

True...right now LB RB combo is of no use...some nice shot inclusion will be nice because this combo is very easy to hold and play...hope to see a new shot soon with LB + RB... thanks
