Lions beat Crows.

The Brisbane Lions have defeated the Crows in their round 7 clash at the Gabba by just 4 points. It was a close contest all throughout the match, which saw the home team come away with the victory. Jonathan Brown was insperational during the match which ended the win for the Lions.
It was a close contest all night, it was one of the best games of the season, but for the Crows, it wasn't to be.

Big Lions Forward, Jonathan Brown provided to be a handful up forward. Booting 3 goals for the Lions, he was a handful for Ben Rutten who has been known to take on the "Big" Forwards. Although Brown was the only Brisbane Forward that was dangerous, with only some singles, to alot of their midfielders. Sherman, Lappin, Power and Selwood all had to pitch in to the Lions Goal scoring to help with the win.
Troy Selwood, a player who has been troubled with innjury throughout all of his career played a awsome match for the Lions. He not only kicked a goal, he also was the highest disposal getter for the Lions with 31, while playing on the wing and through half back. Another name not known to the Lions team, Josh Drummond was good on the half back flank also, picking up 26 possesions and was one of the best on ground for the Lions this afternoon.

Now for the Adelaide Crows. It was a reasonable match, but they would be unhappy they didn't bring up the win. They had to rely on their small forwards, like Andrew McLeod and Graham Johncock to bring up their goals. Andrew McLeod has continued his brilliant start to the season again with 3 goals and another 23 possesions. So the 31 year old will be polling well at the end of season Brownlow Medal Count. Graham Johncock finished with 2 goals, while the rest had to be midfielders aswell, with VanBerlo, Ricciuto and Scott Thompson kicking goals aswell.
Brett Burton was great from defence, and is enjoying his new role in defence after in 2002, being the Crows main Full-Forward. He is enjoying his time in defence and the freedom.

The saints won a pre-season cup a few years back didnt they???

And Melbourne can't afford a team bus let alone creating a decent premiership team:p
