Alastair Cook: 10,000 Man

From the context of him saying match fixers should all be permanently banned but then immediately saying he understands why Amir (who was a spot fixer, yet Cook still referenced specifically in the same statement) wasn't banned, because there wasn't anything in place saying he should he permanently banned for it at the time.
so his statement "all match fixers should be banned for life, and i understand why the guy who did spot fixing wasn't banned for life" is him saying match fixing and spot fixing are the same??

The fact he suggested all 'match fixers' should he banned but still felt the need to justify why Amir (who he didn't specifically mention was a spot fixer instead) wasn't banned suggests that he just intended to say all fixers should be banned.

It was like a troll on Amir

Or perhaps he doesn't know the difference.
If people who deliberately bowl two no-balls which have no effect whatsoever on the match should be banned for life, what about all the people who smashed records in FC matches (especially County Cricket) with the bowlers' compliance?
